"Just..one..more..step." Simon said as his legs wiggled. All of us were tired no doubt, but it was especially hard for Simon to go under his brothers house. Not to mention the ear piercing screams coming from the building Perrie was living in. I wonder what happens in there. I shuddered, probably nothing good anyway. I didn't want to think about that, at all. So far, no one was able to get into the underground, whether they found it or not.
"Okay. We're settled for now." We used our prints again that let us into a cellar-like room. It was pretty big. "Okay everyone, some of us will settle down and a few will stay at the door to guard." "I'll guard!" I volunteered. "Me too!" "Me three!" "Me four!" Perrie, Jade, and Leigh chimed. "Well we'll stay with you guys." Andre said, pointing to him and Alex. I nodded, and everyone else went to lay down, presumably somewhere that had a few beds or something.
"So why do you think they're looking for you guys?" I asked Jade and Perrie. "I mean.. were you guys like his tops or something?" Jade shrugged. "No-" "In fact. He liked us the least, always sending us off with no prep or anything." Pez rolled her eyes. "Aww come here Princess, it's fine." She cuddled into me and I kissed her forehead.
"Jesy.. I won't fall asleep, but can you sing to me please?" "Sure baby. What song?" "Rise Up!" "Beautiful!" "Love on The Brain!" "Okay okay!" I laughed. I hummed the note I would sing and the focus turned to me. "Can you guys sing with me?" I blushed, looking down and fumbling with my hands. "Sure, let's do Love on The Brain.."
"And you got me like ohhh" I sang out. "What you want from me?"
"And I tried.. to buy your pretty heart, but the price too.. high" Perrie laced her fingers with mine. Our voices fit perfectly, the melody repeating in my head. Alex watched us, the look of awe evident in his eyes. Andre just stared at his hands, listening.
"Must be.. love on the brain" Perrie belted.
"And it keeps cursin my name"
I bit my lip, waiting for the words that would be sang. This song reminds me of the first time I met Perrie, her personality shattering into me. I loved it. Now, all I can think about is Perrie. She's on my mind twenty four seven. Her name just repeats in my head, over and over, like a broken record on repeat. Perrie. Perrie. Perrie. Perrie. Perrie. Perrie. I love listening to it.
"Ooh, and babe.. I'm fist fighting with fire— just to get close to you" I scooted more towards Perrie, letting them sing. The four of us harmonized next, a beautiful sound I don't think I'd ever get used too.
"And I, I run for miles, just to get a taste.."
We dragged out, the note hitting me in the feels. We walked all this way to keep these girls safe, so this song felt like real life for me now. I'd do anything to keep these three safe, and I mean anything. Them before me. Never the other way around. I turned towards Perrie, licking my lips because I knew it was a big turn on for her. I smirked.
"Must.. be.. love.. on the brain"
My voice melted, before she crashed her lips onto mine. That mouthwatering taste of strawberry filling my mouth, I've gotten use to Perries overuse of lip balm. "Damn.. I love you." She smiled, resting her forehead against mine. "Good job girls! I think you put everyone else to sleep." Andre chuckled, all of us stopping to listen for movement in the room.
"Maybe." I laughed. The blonde rested her head against my shoulder. "You know I really do love you baby." "That's the second time you've said that in two minutes but I love you too." She pecked my nose, making me scrunch it up and giggle. My fingers played with her ripped jeans while we sat, waiting through the night incase the time would come for us to fight.

"Morning Daddy Direction!" I teased Liam. He scoffed playfully, ignoring me and getting a bottle of water. "So.. not a morning person huh? Hm.. nothing like you used to be." "Sorry someone's singing kept me up all night." He narrowed his eyes at me and glared, I only returned it with a small smirk. "Whoops" I shrugged. "Who could've done such a thing?" He charged after me, causing me to run through the underground cabin, trying to escape him. Perrie must've heard the commotion because she stood at the end of the hallway with a swirl of confusion on her face. "Get her!" Liam laughed and pointed at me, who was running as fast as I could, zigzagging through the small hallways and tunnels. She giggled and ran along after us.
Just when I thought I lost them, I bent down to catch my breath. "GOT YOU!" They both boomed, jumping at me and starting to tickle me. I wriggled and squirmed in their arms, trying to get loose. "Stop it! Li... Pez! No!" I hollered over their laughs, laughing myself, but the tickling became too much and I started to lose myself. "Please.. Stop." The tears filled my eyes. The repetitive feeling of hands on my sides bothered me so badly, I started to cry. They quickly stopped. "Jesy.. I'm sorry. I-I forgot and I just wanted to make you smile." Liam scratched the back of his neck.
"It's okay." My voice was small as Perrie pulled me onto her lap. "I'm sorry babydoll, I d-didn't know." I kissed her lips softly to let her know it was okay. We stood up and slithered through the hallway back down to the main room. Everyone was there, waiting for us. "Girls. We're going to be heading back to the camp. I had Tulisa watch over until they left and they did, but there's a chance they'll be back. But we're fine for now." Jade bit her lip, but mumble yes and ran away with Leigh to get her stuff.
Perrie scrambled away nervously to get what she needed and the boys did the same, I stayed behind. "Simon." He turned around, not going anywhere, cocked his eyebrows, and waited. "How do you know it's really safe?" "I've had more than enough people through the house since the other day, I know you're trying to protect everyone Jess, but we're okay this time. Trust me." I let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding, "Okay.."
Part of me wanted to believe him, but I still couldn't. It was nearly impossible, anxiety took over my steps while I made my way back to the small room that the girls and I shared. I haven't slept in almost two days, I was running on coffee, and now I'm shaking from nerves. It's never a good mix.
There's an unsettling feeling in my stomach, and I knew exactly what it was.
