3 Days Later

Chris' POV ~

"Welcome back, brother!" Ryan cheered, slamming my office door wide open.

"Hello. How was everything under your control?" I asked him.

My phone rang, and Ryan laughed at this. He knew how much of an annoyance phones were to me.

"What? Somebody better fucking be dying!" I said harshly into the phone.

"Yeah, um, about that. I think Elizabeth is. She's in the hospital, and not looking good at all." Shane nervously told me.

I slammed the phone against the desk, and the put it up to my ear once more, only after I had taken a deep breath.

"Give me the address, and get her two friends to the Academy as fast as you can." I instructed him, putting the phone down for good.

"What the hell?" Ryan asked.

I grabbed my cell phone, jacket, and my keys once again, as I brushed past him and walked out into the hallway.

"We're going on a fieldtrip." I said.

"To get Elizabeth?" He wondered.

"Bingo!" I shouted, locking my office.

I ran as fast as I could to Ricky's office and was frustrated when he wasn't there. I wanted the three of us to come together and get her, but I didn't want to push my luck and waste time.

She'd just have to deal with the two of us for now.

Driving was going to take far longer to get to her than us running would take, but the logistics of us using our speed wasn't exactly all there this time. Hopefully, Shane would get both Luke and Aurora out of the hospital as fast as possible, that could definitely interfere with my plans. Their fate was up to us, mainly Ricky and whatever little trick he had working in his mind.

"So, rumor has it you were hanging with pops the last few days. Did he wake up and have any prophecies for us? Maybe advice on what the fuck to do with one soulmate between the three of us?" Ryan asked me.

"What do you think?" I groaned, looking over at him to roll my eyes.

"Just asking questions." Ryan defended himself, putting his hands up in defense.

"Ask better questions." I chuckled, turning on the radio.

"Why'd you kill mom and not just dad?" Ryan muttered under his breath.

I slammed on the breaks, which sent him slamming into the dash.

"Not that question." I hissed through clenched teeth.
