                                                       Kitty's P.O.V.

The feeling in my chest was raw. We were all tired, and had to take a stop at another gas station to change Hailey's diaper, but I was wide awake. Because an image kept flashing through my mind, and I have a feeling who put it there. Al. You will either regret this or it will be the best decision you made.

The image was of Sketch, leaning on a glass cell door. He looked scared, and his eyes were closed. The dark was all around him, the only light being that of another cell. Something told me Dylan's cell. I could feel Sketch's cold seeping into my bones as blood dripped from his mouth, to chin, to floor.

I clenched the steering wheel. I will personally kill whomever did this to him--no, I'll make them wish I had killed them.

"So, um...how long is it until Arizona?" Fox asked. I eased only a little, knowing he was doing it. Making me happy. I was thankful at least I had a friend in him. Arctica has refused to utter a word now, and shot glares at everyone. I glanced at Quill, whom was supposed to be the navigator. He was asleep.

I looked back to the road, using one hand to steer and the other to hand the map of the country to Fox. He skimmed it, looked to the road we're on.

"We're going north right now."

"And?"

"Arizona is south."

I shot a glare at Quill. He must have had the map upside down in his groggy state. I swerved around and cut across traffic to get to the south-bound lane. Everyone was clutching their seat in terror. Hey, its your fault for electing me driver. Mayson looked more terrified, and recently he's been getting angry. We all have, actually. None of us were hotheads--um, cough cough---yet Arctica made our blood boil.

"Hey, Mayson, I spy with my little eye...something cute."

He looked around and pointed to Hailey. I glanced at the road again before shaking my head. "Nope. It's you."

He smiled a little, and Lucifer grinned. "I wanna play! I spy with my little eye something...green."

Mayson pointed outside, and Lucifer nodded vigorously. Then the whole car was playing except for me--Quill woke up as soon as the words "I spy" were uttered--and I drove. I put a rueful smile on my face. They were happy now, that's good. Now I just need to find Sketch. And Dylan. The older Dylan was funny once you got to know him, but very mean-ish at first. Arctica seemed okay with that, but she doesn't understand that applies to me more so.

Suddenly, Arctica blurted, "Any road we're on with this driver is the road to h--"

"Childwen pwesent!" Hailey shouted, suddenly unable to pronounce her r's.

"What...why did you say that? Who taught you?" Fox inquired, and Hailey beamed. "Momma says it all the time around Nico. And Annelid, she curses too. And Sunny. And Mario. And everyone else."

I smirked and kept my eyes on the road. Though this may sound crazy, I haven't cursed cursed. As in the f-bomb. I always say frack or something like that, even if some people hear differently. Sketch says its bad to curse.

I sighed glumly. I miss him. Everyone else might think I only want him back for attention, but they're wrong. He's so sweet and caring, it makes my heart swell when he makes all the little kids smile. Like when he but bandages on Mayson's knee when he had been thrown from a window, and then let Mayson have some of his blood so he could heal. It was strange to think Mayson was a vampire, and awake. And Lucifer. And Dylan. All three of them should be out right now, but I think I heard Kyle talk about toddlers and young children in general are energetic so why not vampire kids?
