Five years later

"That's why I'm setting up an organization to spread awareness about child abuse. No kid should ever go through abuse." Lauren said getting off the stage. Everyone clapped at her presentation, it for sure drilled a hole in most people's hearts.

"Ready?" Lauren asked Camila. She nodded and got up. They were silent they couldn't find the voice to say anything.

The rest of the girls get in the car with after Lauren and Camila. No one said a word either. They drove to the destination where they most dreaded.

"She would have been twenty by now." Ally softly spoke. A chorus of sad 'yeah's was said by the other four girls.

"How didn't we know!" Normani said pure anger in her voice.

"She was good at hiding it since day one, Normani." Ally comforted.

"How could someone be so good at hiding the darkest things?" No one responded because no one had the answer for that.

"As the police found more evidence, they are now spending life in prison," Lauren spoke. The car stopped at the destination.

Brooklyn Stanton died of an overdose and lack of nutrients.

No matter how many times Lauren read the text in the group chat, she still blames herself. If she had answered the text Brooklyn sent the night before, maybe she would have still been alive. If they got there sooner maybe they could have stopped the overdose?

Lauren will never forget the last moments she saw Brooklyn. She looked so fragile, her bones stuck out of her, cuts on her stomach. Bruises and scars from her parents. A big handprint on her face was caused by her parents.

Brooklyn had also had her phone out. Opened to her gallery. Videos and pictures of her parents beating the poor girl.

"Lauren? You okay?" Camila whispered bringing Lauren out of her train of thoughts.

Lauren could only nod.

They talked for hours at Brooklyn's gravestone. They never wanted to say goodbye but they knew it would only be harder to leave if they didn't. Everyone's hearts were defiantly heavy. A few tears were shed when they walked back to their car.

'We've said hello a million times, the hardest thing to do is say goodbye.'

Hey guys

I have nothing to say but sorry.
