The week went by quicker than I thought. Over the past week, I have distanced myself away from the girls. I started shutting Lauren out again like the first day.  The house was cleaned up really well just how it looked before my parents left. Everything was coming back to normal.

"I can't believe we won't see you anymore!" Lauren fake pouted. I just gave a half smile. "Here," Lauren handed me a half of a piece of paper. I turn it over and see beautifully written numbers and names of the girl's number. I gave her a half smile again.

"Please don't tell my parents," I beg.

She just sighs. "I have to B, they need to know."

I look down not wanting to meet her eyes. They will hurt me.

A few minutes pass by and I start to walk back upstairs to the room Lauren stayed at. Making sure no one was following me I grab the boxes from the closet and walk to my room. Finding the small trap door in my closet, I shove the boxes in the hole in the wall. Hiding it on my shelf.

I walk back downstairs to see all the girls down now. I stand far away-ish letting the girls talk amongst themselves.

"What's wrong?" Normani asked bringing me out of my dark thoughts. I mask a fake smile.

"Nothing."

Luckily she fell for that and changed the subject.

"If you see Dinah and Camila together in the hallways, make sure they don't burn something down," she jokes.

"Rude" Camila whined walking over to Normani and me. "Please don't be afraid to text us. Me especially, if you want daily jokes." Normani playfully rolled her eyes while playfully shoving her.

Hearing a car screech, the girls started to sit at the table while I snuck back upstairs.

Multiple hellos were said to each other.

Push your feelings away

"Oh, Brooklyn!" I hear my mother speak. "Come down here and say goodbye to these lovely girls who watched you!" I immediately start walking downstairs not wanting to piss off my mother.

Feeling my mothers glare on me I look down remembering to not speak nor look anyone in the eyes.

Bidding goodbyes with the girls were easier than expected. I noticed Lauren speaking with my mother immediately knowing what she's saying. I start to get panicky knowing what will happen as soon as the last foot walks out the door.

"B, breath." Dinah soothed. "What's going on?"

"N-nothing." Mumbling, I look down at my feet.

"Okay," I hear my mother say not caring.

Everyone finally leaves leaving me with my mother and father.

"Again you attention whore?!," my mother spat. "Disgusting!" Raising her voice louder than the last.

"And to say that we hit you? After all the things we do for you, You should.be grateful that we let you stay in our house!" My father yells bringing his hand to my cheek. I just stand there emotionless.

"It's very rude to even talk to them about yourself like that you selfish piece of shit!" My father yelled again but this time grabbing my arm forcefully dragging me to the basement. Slamming the basement and hearing it lock sent shivers down my spine. Who knows how long I'll be down here for.

Remembering that my phone was hiding down here along with my charger. I sit down and felt a piece of paper in my pocket. Quickly remembering that it was the paper Lauren gave me. Reading off the first name off the list 'Normani Kordei'. I find her Instagram and start to look through her photos along with the rest of the girls.

"Brooklyn! Come up now!" My mother yelled. I hid my phone in my pocket where she can't see it.

"You have school in two days. If you get below an A- on anything, you will regret it." I just nod.

She sends me upstairs and I close my door. I drag my old backpack out with the materials I have. All set.

Hearing my door swing open my father appearing in the doorway. "You tell any more people about us hitting you. I'm positive you will wish you could never talk. We give you a roof, food, a bedroom anything you want. But you pay us by disrespecting us. New rules are, you are to not speak and do as we say."

I just nod.

I set my things aside and I accidentally dropped my bag.

"How dare you!" My father growled. He yanked me by the arm pulling mine out of my room. I don't fight back as I expected, he pushes me down to the basement.

I made sure to protect my head still getting a bruise on my arm. I get up and walk over to the spot where I had my phone charger.

Silence took over the basement as it got darker by the minute. Things swarming in my mind like tv shows. I don't know how long I will be down here for but I don't mind.

Bad thoughts getting to me I open my phone case to get the cold metal blade from its hiding spot but a paper fell out with it. The numbers. I was contemplating if I should text them. Who knows, they probably forgot about me for all I know.

I should just text Lauren.

No.

My phone vibrated, an Instagram notification popped up. It was a follow request from the girls. I don't remember following them. I accepted their requests.

Seconds later I got a dm from Lauren. Hearing footsteps near the basement, I throw my phone and run back to the middle where my father loves me to be. Footsteps then faded. Weird.

"Making sure you're okay, we miss you. Remember I'm here for you girlie, and Camila told me to tell you that she's excited to see you on Monday."

I read the message over a few times. No turning back now.

'Thank you. Tell Camila that I'm excited too.'

Short and simple.

Before I heard her respond, I put the paper in my phone case along with the blade. I have no urge to harm just because of the distraction. I put my phone in its hiding spot. Knowing I won't get much sleep, I just lay on the hardwood floor.

Hey guys,

Heres this wonderful chapter. Shits coming soon so brace yourself. Um, I don't have much to say other than its 12:33 am and my body is going to hate me in the morning. Have a great day/night loves.
