All Along

Chapter 2

"Daniel what do you want?" I asked crossing my arms.

"You really think you can get away with running away from me?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes "oh please we just really needed to use the bathroom. Not everything's about you" I said.

He crossed his arms and glared. "Are you always this rude to people? Every other girl doesnt seem to have a problem with me but you do".

"You know exactly why so don't get all defensive" I snapped.

He began to take steps towards me "I must've forgot because I only remember things that matter" He sassed.

My back hit the wall and I had anger boiling through me. He backed away, opened the door and left.

I followed after him and walked to class. "Today sucks" I said but wanted to scream.

Flashback
In 6th grade Daniel and I were playing 'The floor is lava' with our classmates and when it came down to the both of us he tripped me to win and I sprang my ankle.

In 8th grade
Daniel took my diary and read it to his buddies including my crush at the time. I was embarrassed for everything I wrote and I lost my best friend.
End of flashback

That's just the many reasons I hate Daniel. Not to mention he's a player and gets whatever he wants. He's literally a whole pet peeve to me. Good thing last periods choir. Hopefully it will change my whole mood.

I walked into the room and sat down on one of the steps. More girls started to flood in and I saw a few people I knew.

"MAKENNA!" Someone chirped.

I turned around "Omg Alyssa!" I sprang up and hugged her.

"I can't believe it's you!" She said smiling.

"I know it's been forever!" I said.

We sat down and started talking more. "I didn't have your number to call you" She said sheepishly.

"That's okay. How's your brother?" I asked.

"He's good I think but I'm not sure how well moving has been for him" She sighed.

"Moving is pretty stressful" I said remembering last summer.

*Flashback*

Mom! Dad! I'm home! I yelled excitedly. No one answered so I walked towards my parents room. "Why, why would you cheat?! You could have left me and told me you weren't happy anymore. THERE'S NO REASON ANYBODY SHOULD CHEAT!" I heard my mother yell. "I'm sorry! I know it wasn't right but I wouldn't just be leaving you! We have a daughter! Makenna needs her father too!" My dad fought.
"GET OUT!" "Please don't do this!" "NO GET OUT!" I sobbed as I listened to the conversation and then my dad opened the door. "Honey you're home! How was camp?" He said going to hug me but I pushed him away and ran to my room. The next day my mother told me he left and he wanted me to call him as soon as I woke up.

"Have you moved before?" Her  question caused me to drift from my mind.

"Well not.. Me exactly, more like my dad did" I said with tears in my eyes.

"For a business trip?" She asked with confusion.

"N-no... My dad and mom split up" I said gazing at my feet.

"Oh my gosh! I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked"

"No no it's okay. You didn't know" I said. She squeezed my hand and was about to say something more but then the teacher interrupted.

"Okay sorry about the wait you guys! My names Mrs. Glenford. You can all call me Mrs. Glen for short. Today were all just going to get to know each other and then we will start warm ups tomorrow. Let's start at this end and work out way over". She said.

I blinked my tears away and smiled at Alyssa.

"Um ok my names Alyssa and I just moved here from the small town Benneford. I like dogs and I'm a senior". She ended.

"I'm Makenna. My favorite colors purple, I love ice cream, and I'm also a senior. I said taking a deep breath afterwards. I don't like talking about myself in front of people really but I figure it's better I do it instead of them.
