All Along

Chapter 19

I woke up the next morning to the smell of bacon. I was immediately hungry, but I just loved waking up to that.

I got out of bed and walked into the kitchen. I saw Alyssa and Luke making pancakes, bacon and eggs. "Yum" I said walking in and they both looked at me.

"Hey you're awake!" She said excitedly.

"Yeah, what time is it did I wake up late?" I asked kind of worried.

"It's 9:30" She said and I sighed in relief.

"Oh that's good I was afraid it was like 11 or something" I giggled.

"I wish I could sleep that late" Alyssa said and continued to flip pancakes.

"Do you guys need any help?"

"Oh no! You're a guest so just relax" Alyssa said.

"Are you sure? I really want to be useful" I said sadly.

"I guess if you really, really want to you can wash dishes" Alyssa said pointing at the sink.

"No it's okay I just finished the eggs so I'll do them" Luke said walking over to the sink.

"You wash and I'll dry?" I asked.

"Yeah sure, but we have a dishwasher" He chuckled.

"Then..I'll stuff?" I asked.

He chuckled "sure" And started washing dishes. We worked at a fast paste and almost had all the dishes done.

"Pancakes are done!" Alyssa said and a plate slipped from Luke's hand. I quickly grabbed the plate and our hands landed on each other.

I blushed and sighed "c-close one"

"Yeah" He said and we locked eyes. I felt his hands wrap around the plate securely, then I moved my hands and put it in the dishwasher.

"Looks like we're all done!" Luke said and turned to me.

"Yay!" I said and put my hand up.

He chuckled and high fived me. "We make a pretty good team" He said.

"Who's ready to eat!" Alyssa said taking the bacon out of the oven.

"Me!" I said excitedly and she handed me a plate.

We ate in silence for a minute before Alyssa spoke up. "So what should we do today?" She asked.

"I don't know" I said.

"We could go see a movie" Luke pitched into the conversation.

"What movie?" I asked.

"The new scary movie looks amazing!" Alyssa said and my eyes lit up!

"Yes I love scary movies! Lets go see it!" I said excitedly.

"Okay!" Alyssa said and after we finished eating we got ready to go.

We walked out to Alyssa's car and Luke opened the door for me. "Awe thanks" I gushed and stepped into the car.

Alyssa smirked and started the car "you two are so cute"

I blushed and Luke rolled his eyes at her in the back seat "just drive" Luke said.

"Hey don't get salty with me or you can't come" Alyssa sassed and started driving.

When we walked into the theater Alyssa got in line to buy the tickets and told Luke and I to go get snacks.

"What do you want?" Luke asked as we waited in line.

"I don't know everythings so expensive" I said.

"Whatever you want you can have" Luke said waving a 50 in my face.

I giggled and then it was our turn in line. "Can we get a large bucket of popcorn, 3 large drinks and a Dibs ice cream" Luke said handing his money to the lady at the register.

"Sure" She smiled and bit her lip at Luke.

"Thanks for the ice cream!" I said as the lady handed us our food.

"No problem" Luke winked.

"Here's your change" The lady smirked as Luke grabbed the money.

"Thanks" He awkwardly smiled back at her.

We filled up the drinks and Alyssa met up with us. "Hey what's that?" Alyssa asked looking at us confused.

"What?" I asked.

"That paper on the back of the money" Alyssa said snatching the cash away from Luke.

"Hey!" Luke said launching at her.

"Who's callie? And why did she give you her number?" Alyssa asked.

"Wait what?" Luke asked and grabbed the piece of paper.

"Oh. That lady gave me her number" Luke said pointing at the girl at the register.

"Couldn't she get fired for that?" I asked.

Luke started ripping the paper "it's fine, problem solved" He said throwing the paper in the trash.

"Let's go" Alyssa said and we walked to our movie.

"So should we sit in the back or middle?" Alyssa asked as we walked up the stairs.

"Back" Luke said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because no one can bother us up there"

"Oh ok" I said and we finally took our seat. We were 15 minutes early so no one was in the theater yet.

People started to flood in when it got closer to the time the movie would start. Oh no.

"Riley and Ben are here" I whispered to Alyssa and her eyes got wide.

"Where?"

"By the guy with like five kids" I said pointing down at them.

They looked up at us and I immediately tried to hide my face. Please don't notice me!

"Did she see me?" I asked Alyssa and she sighed.

"I don't know but shes coming this way" So much for not getting bothered.

"Hey makenna and it's Alyssa right?" Riley asked genuinely.

Alyssa nodded her head and furrowed her eyebrows. "Hi" I said to her and looked at Ben.

"Who's this?" Ben asked looking at Luke.

"Oh um this is Alyssa's brother luke" I said looking at Luke. "Luke this is Ben and Riley" I said introducing them to each other awkwardly.

"Ahh" He said and shook hands with Ben.

"It's nice to meet you" Riley said also shaking his hand.

"Well we should probably sit down babe, the movies about to start" Ben said to Riley and she nodded.

"Well it was nice to see you again" She said and sat down.

As we watched the movie I looked down at Ben and Riley holding hands. Awe good for her.

I looked over at luke and he was stuffing his face with popcorn. He looked over at me and stopped. "Want some?" He asked.

"No I'm good" I chuckled and continued to watch the movie.

Within the rest of the movie Luke put his arm around me and I snuggled into it a bit. I looked over at Alyssa and she now had the popcorn and her feet were kicked back on the seat in front of her.

Crackhead.
