Andy opened her eyes to rain.
What happened?
Where was she?
She tried to turn her head to the side to shield her eyes from the rain and get a better scene of her surroundings but it hurt. The slightest movement of her muscles sent searing pain through her body. Tears welled up in her eyes and it was all she could do not to scream.
The world around her was silent, save for the pitter-patter of raindrops landing all around her. No growl of engines, no chatter, no taps of keys on a keyboard, no obnoxiously loud music, no annoying video-game side effects.
Just consuming silence.
The tears slipped down her cheeks as she began to remember.
She was had just stepped through the ground bridge to where Optimus had opened it when the fire and debris hit.

"Optimus you can't be serious." She had said with coolant gathering in her optics.
She was about to lose the only parental figure she had ever had.
All because of those stupid Deceptions.
She clenched her servo as she stared at the open ground bridge. She had just watched Ratchet walk through it, muttering that he never thought that this was going to be how it ended. Neither did she.
"Andy you must leave before they strike the base down." The last Prime had told her, a servo on her shoulder.
"I.. I can't ... Optimus I can't you leave you here!" She cried out, coolant dripping from her faceplates.
"I know it is hard Andy, but you must." His expression had softened then, silently urging the femme he had come to think of as his own creation to leave. To leave before it was too late.
The femme sniffled as she hugged the prime one last time, nuzzling her face into his abdomen, "I'll miss you, sire."
She had never used the term for Optimus out loud before, but she had been referring to him as that for a while now, in her helm at least. While the word felt strange on her glossa, she didn't mind using it for Optimus. To her, he was always going to be her sire, no matter what happened here today.
Optimus momentarily paused that the term of endearment then wrapped his own arms around the smaller bot's frame. It felt good to know that Andy acknowledge the previously unsaid parent-child bond between them and he wouldn't mind if it was the last thing he heard or she said to him.
He gently pushed her away, towards the ground bridge, "Go."
This time she didn't object, though her dermas trembled.
Optimus turned towards the groundbridge controls, raising StarSaber over his helm, ready to strike it down.
Andy transformed into her human body just as she stepped through the bridge.
Her last words echoing through the now empty space, "I love you sire."
Then she disappeared, the fire and debris from the explosion flying through after her.
Andy wailed into the murky sky, the pain of her burned and bleeding left side mixing with the pain of losing her only family. Of being separated from the only people she cared about, the only people she would give her spark to protect.
They were all gone.
She was all alone and injured with no means of getting help.

Why must it be her nightmares that come true?

Andy woke up shaking and sobbing.

Her left hand lifted up to touch the burn scars marring the left side of her face.
Oh, Primus how she wished she could have changed that day. She could have done something. Anything. Made them all leave earlier, forced Optimus to come with her, stayed with him, anything. She could have stopped it all. All the pain and suffering that single afternoon had cost all of them.
"-ey! Can you hear me?!" her head snapped to the side of the bed, phantom pains rippling down the left side of her body.
"Will?" She breathe, focusing on the brunet man at her bedside, "Where am I?"
Anything to get her processor off her sparkterror.
"Yeah, it's me," Will answered warily, refusing to meet her eyes., "We are at the Military base I work at."
Andy nodded, noting that she was somewhere civilians weren't allowed to be, even the families of the people who worked here. So they suspected who she was, either bringing her here to question her and find out more or to imprison and experiment on her. She shuddered, knowing from experience what kind of sick things humans were willing to do to Cybertronians.
"Look, Will, I wanted to tell you, I really did but..." she bit her lip, looking down at her wrist, which had an IV in it, feeding her glowing blue liquid. So they knew. "You have to understand that I thought that there were no Cybertronians here. I thought it was just me."
Will glanced up at her, "Andy, I think you should explain this later when-"
He was cut off by the door opening and three men walking in.
One had bright blond hair with glasses and wore a lime-colored turtleneck sweater under a white lab coat with the Autobot insignia over his heart. The other was a black haired, much taller than the first and wore light wash jeans with cowboy boots, a black shirt with a blue and red leather jacket. And the third one was Ron.
At the sight of the second male and Ron, her mouth went dry. Dear Primus, she didn't want to do this now. She wished she'd never have to do this in the first place. If she could, she would have curled up and gone back to sleep, except she also didn't want to wake up crying and screaming because of another sparkterror.
"Miss Fay, we would like to ask you some questions."The one in the lime-colored sweater stepped forward, not looking up from the datapad in his arms.
"It's Fay-Pax actually," she murmured, wrapping her fist tightly around a piece of the thin hospital blanket she had been issued.
"Pax?" The other occupants of the room asked simultaneously.
Andy winced and nodded, "It was my adoptive sire's last name. Well before it changed, but I don't deserve that title. So I picked up Pax to honor him when he was terminated."
"Interesting." The man in the lime green turtleneck jotted something down on the clipboard at the end of her bed.
"How old are you?" Ron growled, leaning against the doorway, blocking her only exit.
"23," Andy answered numbly, wetting her dermas with her glossa, feeling the faint scar on her bottom lip.
"What do you know about Extraterrestrial Beings?" The doctor looking one of the group asked, glancing up at her.
Andy swallowed thickly and clenched her fist tighter.
Here we go, she thought, this is very everything is gonna start going downhill.
"Which species?" She tried to keep all emotion out of her voice, she really did, but her wariness and slight fear made itself evident.
She began to reach out for support, wishing for at least one ally, one person to lend her their strength. But there was nothing. Just her and her hollow mind and spark. Dear Primus, she wanted this to just END ALREADY.
"Cybertronian." the one-word answer shock her to her core.
Then this place was in fact what she had thought it was. It was a base were the humans and Cybertronians worked together to bring down the Decepticons. Will worked with them and Ron was in fact that GMC she saw in Mission City the night she had offlined the 'con to protect her friends.
"I know everything." She rasped, all her repressed emotions finally reaching the breaking point.
"I know all the details of every function and gear, every circuit and cable. I know about the war, the Decepticons, Megatron, Unicorn, Primus, the Original Primes, the Last Prime, the history, the language. Everything. Please. Spare me. I don't intend to cause any harm to humans. I want to protect this planet and... And find my way home." she sobbed, wrapping her arms around her abdomen. She could feel all her scars - all her faults and mistakes and sacrifices - through the thin hospital gown they had given her.
"We are not going to harm you in any way Andy." the black haired male place a large hand on her shoulder, causing Andy to snap her head up and meet his bright blue eyes with her own blue-gray ones.
Again that voice.
She recognized it.
But it was off somehow. It was too warrior-like - too deep and too gruff - not the same wise and fatherly tone she remembered her sire often using. Her instincts told her that this was an imposter, like when Makeshift had disguised himself as Wheeljack to infiltrate the Autobot Base.
She swallowed, dropping her gaze back to the blankets covering her lap, "Would you happen to be Optimus Prime?"
"Yes, that would be me."
Andy's shoulders shock. Of course, Primus was, once again, punishing her for something that she had no clue about.
"Andy? Ya alright?" Ron spoke up, leaning off the wall and taking a step towards her bed.
"I'm fine." her voice broke and she hated it.
She had grown since then. She wasn't just a fleshie in a Cybertronians body who was thrust into a war with no experience. She was a strong femme who did things beyond her field of expertise and fought much more experienced foes yet still walked away victorious. Not the scared little fleshie who didn't even know how to use an Ion canon!
"I don't thi-" She cute Ron off with a vicious growl.
"I'm. Fine."
She took a deep breath and forced the muscles in her shoulders to relax. She was okay. This was okay. Everything will be sorted out soon and she can just go back to her room and cuddle with Wheelj.... No. No, she couldn't do that. But she couldn't let that affect her, no matter how much she hated it or how much pain it caused her. She had to be professional right now. Keep it together for a little longer and when she was alone, she could cry and scream all she wanted.
"Excuse me. I'm just... There are a lot of things on my processor right now." She apologized.
"That is quite understandable Ms.Fay-Pax." Optimus nodded to her, stepping back to let the doctor remove the IV from her arm, "If you don't mind, we would like to move this conversation to somewhere more secure and... comfortable."
"Of course, no problem sir." The words felt strange in her mouth but she tried not to let them bother her as she stood.
"I'll get you your cl-" Will turned to the other chair in the room, looking for a pile clothes that wasn't there, "Ummm, I swear they were right here.." he trailed off.
Andy smiled slightly, "It's fine, that's supposed to happen."
"What do you mean?" Will looked at her and yelped, seeing her body blurring and fizzling.
The brunette's body was going in and out of focus, her features blurring. Her body repled like a hologram and fizzled like that of an old TV. The colors of her clothes changed and spread until she solidified wearing full combat gear complete with her weapons and visor.
Andy stumbled, gripping the side of the bed and swaying, "Any... Anyone happen to have a cube of energon on 'em?"
