Andy chugged the human-sized energon cube they had given her. "Thank you! I haven't had a proper ration in.. in about a month I'd say."
She grabbed for a second cube, which was promptly snatched away from her by the man in lime-green, "Ep ep ep! Just once cube for now!"
"Doc?" Andy's eyes widened as she let go of the edge of the bed and stood on her own two feet.
Her eyes glowed blue, the grayish tint completely vanishing and her skin regained its natural healthy glow. Her hair seemed fuller and shinier, and her stature became overall more confident and strong looking. Will hadn't realized until now how sickly looking she was before.
"Don't call me that!" the medic threatened, wagging his pen at the younger woman.
"Holy frag..." Andy murmured, surprise and slight dismay in her evident in her voice, "You looked.. younger and... brighter.. color wise that is..."
"Younger? Pssh what are you talking about youngling?" the grumpy mech's holofrom crossed his arms over his chest and glared over his glasses at the brunette woman.
"Nothing, sorry Doc," she muttered, rolling her shoulders back.
"Ms. Fay-Pax could you please explain to us your involvement in the war?" Optimus's holoform spoke up before the grumpy medic could throw something at the femme.
Andy winced and grimaced, "Well, that is quite.. complicated to explain, si-sir."
"We have time," Ron grunted from the door.
"Well... um... I originally meet the Autobots seven years ago, when I was sixteen and since then a lot of things about my previously unknown origins have been revealed. I am what is often referred to as a Techno-Organic, an individual who is half Cybertronian and half an organic organism, which effects a lot of aspects of my life, but that is another explanation entirely. After the reveal of my heritage, I was trained and enlisted in battle. Since then I have been made a member of the Wreckers and the Weapons Specialist and Second in Command of the team of humans and Cybertronians currently operating on Earth from Nevada. Though I also go on off-world missions with my partner, Wheeljack, to provide support and supplies to struggling Autobots still stranded in space." The more she spoke, the more confident she became.
Silence followed her explanation and she swore that one could cut the tension in the room with the StarSaber."I'm sorry Ms.Fay-Pax but is not possible," Optimus spoke first, frowning ever so slightly, "The Autobots have been on Earth less than a months, there is no base in Nevada and I can assure you that Wheeljack is not on Earth and does not have the means to provide support to stranded troops."
"What?" Andy felt like her world was falling apart all over again.
One would think that after so many world-shattering experiences one would come to expect them, but there was no preparing oneself for it, no matter how hard one tries.
Just when she had finally found her footing after the end of the war, the reconstruction of Cybertron, Gelida, waking up as her sixteen-year-old self, being adopted and who knows whatever else, Primus, once again, yanked the rug right out from under her pedes.
Strangled noises escaped her as she plopped down on the edge of the hospital bed behind her. She ran her hands through her hair, not caring that she was messing up her braid or yanking out strands of it. Her breathing became labored and she broke out in a cold sweat.
"Hey, hey, hey, Andy, it's gonna be fine." She felt the bed shift next to her but Will's voice felt like it was coming from underwater.
"Her sparkrate shoot through the roof Optimus, she is about to glitch." Ratchet's voice sounded even farther away than Will's had and that scared her.
"Are... you saying what... what I'm thinking you are?" Andy's voice was barely a whisper, and they all heard it, but no one answered. No one could bring themselves to.
"Every... everything I did.... all the things that... everything... never happened?" she barely managed to choke out, because the words physically hurt her. Everything about them felt so wrong, so foreign, so... so... forbidden.Everyone hesitated for a long, agonizing minute and it was Optimus who finally answered, "Yes."
The tears she had so far managed to repress made their grand appearance.
She choked on her own breath, tears flowing rapidly down her face. Everything that made her, HER didn't exist here, everything things she has done up until a month ago never happened. All her actions were irrelevant. But more importantly, no one she loved or considered her family existed here. She couldn't even seek comfort from her sparkmate. She couldn't talk to Doc or Ellie or Wheeljack about anything that has happened to her here because they DIDN'T EXIST. SHE WASN'T ANYBOT TO REMEMBER - SHE DIDN'T EXIST HERE!
She pulled her legs up to her chest and hugged them close.
Dear Primus, why her? Had she somehow offended the Cybertronian god and he had banished her here as punishment?
No, Primus wasn't that cruel.
Maybe Unicorn had had enough of her techno-organic aft parading around his body's surface like some annoying bug. Yeah, that seemed more likely.
Or maybe this was all just some dream!
Yeah, this was all just some extremely detailed dream that her damaged processor had come up with after she was put out of commision in a battle and Doc was working on fixing her and she'd wake up with Jacks at her brethside and she could kiss him and tell him she loved him and that it was all alright.
But it wasn't. And she knew that.
She was being delusional, trying to convince herself that everything was alright when abso-fragging-lutely NOTHING was alright.
