Andy sat on the edge of her bed, fists clenched around the thin fabric of the blanket under her.
She woke up facing a gray concrete ceiling and she foolishly dared to have hope... Hope that everything about the last month was some awful dream, and she was back home with Wheeljack and the others.
But faith was a cruel mistress and her hopes were crushed as soon as she turned her head.
The room around her was simple gray and bleak, empty except for the small dresser in the corner and the bed she was currently on. No clusters of wires and part, no sheets of metal waiting to be shaped and molded into her newest design, no cars parked in the back corner. Nothing that would indicate that anyone has ever inhabited the small space before her.
Tears slipped down her cheeks when she realized this.
Over the last month her hope had - slowly but steadily - started to dwindle.
The hope she held for ever being able to walk through a spacebridge onto the smooth surface of Cybertron, the hope for ever cuddling up to her sparkmate, or going on joy-rides around the universe in the Jackhammer with him had begun to fade.
The hope reserved for ever waking up to Miko's obnoxious music, the hope for helping Raf with Cybertronian technology, for ever talking to Jack about battle strategy and getting chewed out by Doc for calling him a stupid nickname or doing something unnecessarily dangerous on a mission and getting hurt was getting smaller and smaller by the hour.

She rubbed her tears away and got off the bed, stumbling. Her legs felt unsteady and her spark hurt but she persevered, walking over to the dresser in the corner.
She gripped the edge of that wooden piece of furniture, bowing her head. She took a deep breath, turning her head and pressing it against her shoulder to get rid of the new batch of tears.
Primus, she hated feeling this weak.
She hated not being able to seek comfort, not being able to just TALK about it ANYof it!
She swallowed thickly, pushing herself off the dresser and realized a heavy breath. Her shoulders dropped and she gathered herself.
She pushed her emotions up against that barrier that sheHATED so fragging much!
Andy was shaking but she managed to suppress all of the internal turmoil building up inside her. It wouldn't do anyone any good if she was unstable. She didn't need any more people seeing her as weak.
She was not weak!
Grabbing her green and black camo jacket, she exited the room, her tears, and emotions nothing but a memory, something no one else could see.
Good.

That's how it should be.

Andy looked up at Bumblebee, her head tilted to the side, "You want me to

Andy looked up at Bumblebee, her head tilted to the side, "You want me to ... meet your .. charges?"

The young mech nodded enthusiastically, beeping in confirmation.
She blinked up at the yellow and black mech, slightly surprised. She knew that the bots had come in contact with humans - OBVIOUSLY - but she never thought that the Autobots had teenage charges outside maybe the families of the Military personnel at the base.
"You have ... charges?" she asked slowly, unsure if she had heard him correctly.
Bumblebee nodded again, "Sam Witwicky, his great-grandfather found Megatron frozen in the Arctic and the coordinates of the Allspark on were imprinted on his glasses. We needed to get the Allspark before 'Cons so they couldn't use it to create a new army."
And paused for a moment, staring up at the young mech with a blank expression on her face.
"What?" Pure confusion took over her features.
"What?" Bumblebee repeated her question, confused by her confusion.
"The... Allspark was here... on Earth ... Megatron was... frozen in the ... the Arctic..." Andy stared up at Bee, completely in struck by what information he had just relayed to her.
Bumblebee nodded his helm, an optic ridge raised, "Yes...?" He forgot that this woman wasn't from this world and she had no idea how things had happened here, and this was probably just confused her.
Andy pursed her lips, looking down at her feet. Her processor had a hard time comprehending this new information, but she didn't feel like she was going to glitch, so at least that was good.
Repeating what she had just been told over and over again in her mind, she decided that she should ask someone about what happened here. But before she could, a loud voice sounded in the hangar.
"Hey Bee!" the voice was feminine, she noted as she turned around.
A brunette young woman and a sandy blond haired young man were approaching her and Bee. The male had his arm wrapped around the female's waist, who was waving at the yellow and black scout.
"Hey, guys!" Bee played a clip from some show instead of buzzing like he had done a moment before, knowing that the humans couldn't understand him that way, and waved back.
"New recruit?" the male asked as the two of them came to a stop not far from them.
Andy burst out laughing, throwing her head back, "New.... recruit! Ha! As if, kid! I've been involved with this much longer than you have!"
"Ummm who are you?" the male asked, slightly unsettled by this woman.
"I'm Andy, resident Wrecker and Weapons Specialist." She crossed her arms, cocking her hip with a smirk on her lips.
"Isn't that Ironhide the ummm Weapons Specialist?" the male asked in confusion, looking the brunette woman over, his eyes lingering on the hundreds of scars all over her exposed flesh.
She raised an eyebrow, "Yeah, Ironhide is A Weapons Specialist, but this is a war, and more then one Weapons Specialist is a very good idea in a war, don't you think?"
"Ummm." The sandy blond male fidgeted, looking down at his feet.
Andy laughed, looking up at Bee over her shoulder, "These your charges Buzz-butt?"
Bumblebee nodded at her, buzzing in confirmation, "Buzz-butt?" he asked.
Andy's smile dropped a little, and she sifted her weight from one foot to another, "Nothing, just a ... nickname for Bee ... well, the Bee I know from my ... world, I guess."
"You're world?" the brunette asked, confusion taking over her features as well.
Andy smiled a little, gesturing for them to step back, "Step back a little bit please, I'd rather not squish you guys."
The two of them stepped back after a little encouragement form Bumblebee. They didn't know why they had to step back but they also didn't want to be squished. Better safe than sorry, they say.
Andy closed her eyes and her body unfurled.
Her skin looked like it was turning inside out, the soft squishy organic matter turning into hard white, blue and light gray metal. Her body expanded from the center of her chest, gain mass. Soon she stood twenty feet tall, towering over the much smaller humans, a little taller than Bumblebee himself. Her blue optics opened under her visor, a smile making it's way onto her dermas as she kneeled to get to a better eye leave with the humans.
"Tada," she grinned, brassing her lower against her thigh.
The male's jaw was with open, and he had backed farther than he originally had, unsure what to think of what he just saw. The female's jaw was also unhinged but the awe in her eyes was reassuring.
"Oh... oh my god!" the male exclaimed, grabbing onto the female's arm.
Andy tilted her helm to look at the scout, "Are you going to introduce us?"
Bumblebee nodded quickly, gesturing to the male and female, "That's Sam and Mikaela, they are, as humans say, dating!" then he turned to the two organics, gesturing to Andy, "Guys, this is Andy - or Adamantium! Her situation is ... complicated, but she is an Autobot, and she is gonna be staying here for a bit."

"Nice to meet yall," she smiled at them.
So they have human charges here too huh? Good to know.
Hopefully, she wouldn't get assigned one while she was here, as that situation would be .. ah .. particularly messy.
