"Distraction? I was a distraction to you?," I asked Cameron.
"No, for him not me. Honestly, you kept me focused. You kept me going but now he's pulling me away from you."
I adjusted my seat on the bench, laying my head on top of Cameron's chest.
He wrapped his arms around me and we stayed that way for a long time.
The warm breeze came in once in a while, the scent reminding me of what it was like to love.
To love someone but to have them taken away.
"How long are you going to be gone for?," I asked, breaking the silence.
"A month, maybe even two," his cracked voice answered.
Even how cliché it sounds, I felt as if my heart was breaking even more by the second.
"Who else knows about it?"
"Only the guys. Nash told me he tried to tell Sofia but she was talking to Mahogany."
The silence creeped back again but this time, I heard Cameron's soft sniffling.
I looked over at Cameron whose red eyes were filled with even more tears.
"I'm really sorry, babe. I tried to stop him but he didn't listen. He said it was for the best but it doesn't seem like it."
He cupped my face, using his thumb to wipe away my tears.
I did the same for him but we started to cry even more.
We never realized how hard this was, being away from each other for so long.
"So I'm leaving in about a week?"
"Yeah, actually tomorrow night since today's Saturday."
"Oh."
"But, do you mind if we make a video before you leave?," he asked while staring at me.
"Sure. Do you have your camera?," I replied while getting off the bench.
"Yeah, upstairs in my suitcase. Let's go right now."
He lifted me up, bridal style and walked into the hotel.
"Cam, you don't have to carry me," I said while giggling.
"It's fine. I like carrying you, remember?"
He walked us over to the elevator where we met Bart.
Great. Note the sarcasm.
Cameron immediately placed me on my feet and dusted his shirt.
"Hey Bart. How's it going?," I asked while shaking his hand.
He looked at me with a fake smile, and muttered a quick "good".
"What were you guys doing outside?"
"Um, I was telling her about what you told me," Cameron said through his gritted teeth.
Oh, well I'm sorry Savannah. I really wanted you to stay."
"It's fine," I said while pressing the elevator button.
The doors instantly opened as we walked in.
Bart pressed the third floor button while I pressed the second.
As the doors closed, Cameron held my hand and I looked up at him.
"What are you doing?," I mouthed to him.
"Please, just let me," he mouthed back.
He lend onto my hand until we got to the second floor.
