(Alanas' mum POV)
"So how long have you lived in London for?" I asked the lady sitting next to me whos' name was Liz. She had a thick and very obvious australian accent so I assume she moved here recently.
"Oh, I don't live in London, me and my family are just staying here for three weeks and then we're spending three weeks at my mums house.Sort of like a holiday."She smiled.I didn't see her family anywhere she was here alone.Liz must of read my mind,
"My husband Andrew is back at the cabin, probably sleeping knowing him," she rolled her eyes, "and my two eldest sons, Ben and Jack are either trying to chat up the girls or on their phones, then my youngest boy Luke usually likes to go for walks. Are you here with your family Sofia?"
"Yes infact my youngest daughter Andrea is right out there," I pointed out the cafe window where my daughter was doing cartwheels with two other girls, "and my other daughter Alana, she's 13, is most likely still in the cabin. She's not very social."
"Neither is my Luke, when we're at home back in Australia he spends all his time locked away in his room playing his guitar," She sighed.
"What a coincidence!Alana loves to play guitar too!"
"We'll deffinately have to introduce them to each other,"Liz suggested
I smiled and nodded in response as I sipped my coffee. It sounded like a fantastic idea, Alana could use some more friends.
(Alanas' POV)
As I walk around the site I see that there are a few small shops for basic nessescitiesI also notice many kids around some my age some older but mostly younger kids playing tag, My sister being one of them.I don't really care for socializing so I walk over to the lake that is hidden, but not completely, by a few trees. It takes me just a matter of three minutes to reach the lake.I see a picnic bench it looks fairly old and the paint is already peeling.Well my feet hurt and that's all there is so I took a seat on the old peice of wood, it creakes loudly.I hear a gasp.I look towards where the noise came from and I see a boy who looks to be around my age sitting underneath a tree, leaning his back against the bark with a guitar in his hands. He had blonde hair that was swept to the side creating a fringe and bright blue eyes that were beautiful.
"Erm.." the boy starts
"Oh, I'm really sorry I didn't realise anyone was here,if I did i wouldn't have sat here because you was clearly here first an-" he cuts off my nervous rambling, probably a good idea.
"Don't worry it's ok really," he laughs then stands up holding out one of his hands to me, "I'm Luke.Luke Hemmings," he has a thick australian accent which I find adorable.I'm not usually one for talking to strangers, especially boys.I'm not anti-social, I just have trouble trusting people after what my dad did.I know it happened when I was 5 and I didn't understand why we had even moved to England in the first place but when my mum told me last year I got so scared that something similar would happen to me so I built walls up.Never talked to anyone unless I had to, the only reason I have sienna is because we had been best friends since I first moved to England and started new schools. All my other normal friends I just stopped talking to them as much and we drifted apart until we didn't talk at all.He looked at me strangely and I just realised I hadn't introduced myself.I must've looke like a right idiot just standing there staring at him.
"Oh, yeah of course sorry, erm my names erm, A-Alana" I stuttered nervously shaking his hand.he opened his mouth to speak until his phone started ringing, he said a quiet sorry and picked up.
"Er hi, yeah fine.Just down at the lake, okay wait now? Yeah it's fine okay see you soon," with that he hung up and looked at me, "Sorry thatwas my mum, I have to get back to my cabin now.." he trailed off.
"Oh, don't worry about it I should be getting back too."I replied
"How about we walk back together?" He suggested.I nodded and we began walking back through the trees but keeping a safe distance between us.The short walk back was silent,I guess neither of us knew what to say.Luke stopped walking, I was confused but then realised we were back at the site.He turned to me,
"Well looks like we're here."
"Yeah, we are well bye," I stated awkwardly
"Maybe I'll see you again soon Alana," he smiled and turned away walking over to his cabin which was directly opposite mine.I couldn't stop the smile that covered my face.I turned walking into my cabin, there was something about this boy, something that made me want to get to know him more.
