(Alanas' POV)
It was just what I imagined; cob webs in every corner, shelves were coated in dust, broken furniture was scattered randomly on the floor and it smelt horrible.I inhaled, only to be stopped halfway through when I swallowed some dust causing me to cough.Luke rubbed my back and I eventually stopped.I smiled gratefully up at him.How did I ever get this lucky?
"So now what?" I broke the silence.
"Well we just sit her an chill," Luke replied.Sit here and chill?
"I'm not sure if you have noticed but there is nothing to sit on" I said gesturing to the broken sofa.He didn't respond but took of his jacket and laid it on the floor. He sat down with guitar in his hands before doing the 'c'mon' hand movement. Is he serious?
"Erm...Don't think so Luke"
"Why not theres a blanket down here?" My feet stayed glued to the spot and eventually he realised I wasn't sitting on the floor.
"Fine, we won't sit in here then.Where are we supposed to go then?" He had a point.Luked dusted himself off and put his jacket back on.We both walked out the old cabin door while searching the area for somewhere to sit.I saw a tree, walked over to it and layed my back against the bark as I sat down.I looked up at Luke,
"So you'd rather sit on the muddy ground than inside on my clean jacket?" He looked utterly bewildered.
"Yes." I stated shrugging.
"Whatever," he mumbled and sat down next to me.He smiled at me oncemore before he started strumming. He was just improvising but he put certain chords together in a certain order that made the noise angelic. He was talented.
"You're amazing Luke," I complimented, he smiled and carried on.He paused for a momeent, looked up at the sky with his eyebrows scrunched together, as if he was thinking then he started playing a familiar tune. Then he sang,
"A drop in the ocean, a change int the weather, I was praying that you and me might end up together. It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert, but i'm holding you closer than most, cos' you are my heaven."
His voice was amazing, truly beautiful.Wow!! Not only can he play guitar but he can sing too! Now I really want to know how I got so lucky. He finished the rest of the song as I sat there in awe.He looked up at me and I him.
"That was...that was awesome Luke, truly beautiful. It was amazing, beautiful, georgeous, just...words can not describe how much I loved it.I never even knew you were capable of that.Just wow!" He grinned, teeth showing andd everyting. He gazed into my eyes and I his,
"Thankyou...so so much.No one has ever told me that before.I mean yeah sure, m mum tells me she's proud but she was never one for instruments and music.I remember the confused look on her face when I told her I wanted a guitar. She was always more of a sports person although she never said anything, I could see it in her eyes when she was at one of Jack or Bens' soccer matches. So thankyou Ally, I really apreciate it," He leaned over to me and pecked me softly on the lips and as always electric shocks flew through my body.
After that we talked, cuddled, he played some more for me and I for him(minus the singing) and sometimes I would play while he sand.To say it was incredible would be an understatment.Sadly, it soon came to end because of basic human needs. His stomach growled and so did mine.
"I guess we should go back and eat huh?"I nodded and he stood up, pulling me up with him.He grabbed his guitar and we walked back to his cabin in silence. Not an awkward silence though, it was more of a comfortable one where we both knew nothing needed to be said. When we got back to the cabin we could already smell food cokking which made us even more hungry.Luke opened the door for me and I smiled and walked in as he followed.
"Ah, great. You two are just in time for dinner!" Lukes' mum smiled warmly handing us both a plate of spaghetti bolagnese.
