One week up
One week downThis roller coaster is spinning around
Funny how it makes no sound
Day in and day out
Silent tears are making you drownTime ticks by
How smoothly does it flyIt has no worries holding it back
Does it never see the crushing effect
It has on the people it leaves behind
Who cannot keep up with the sands of timeFirst comes day and then the night
The darkness slowly devours the lightLife is like that too
Now you're happy and then you're sad
The sudden transitions are driving you mad
But it's a cycle and it will never stopForever is a lie on this Earth
They fade away, both tears and mirthNothing lasts forever; we all know that
All these tides, eventually they will pass
New ones will come too, of course
But who's to say how long those will last? It's hard to be strong, but you know you can try
When you think all hope is gone, you still have God by your side.
I read somewhere that if there are no ups and downs in your life, are you really living?
