They say you attract what you lack
So tell me, my dear future lover,
Will you be the outgoing to my shy,
The truth to my lie?
Will you be the decisive to my unsure,
The confident to my insecure?
Will you be the freedom to my chains,
The healing balm to my pain?
Will you be the found to my lost,
And what will be the cost?
For me to have an "other half",
A companion to make me laugh.
Will you stay forever by my side,
In happiness and in plight?
Will you say love comes free,
After all, God created you for me.
Will you take my hand and tell me let's run
Together into the setting sun?
Or will you shake your head and say,
Darling, I'm not here to stay.Let me tell you, my dear future lover,
I'd be the high to your low,
Water your garden and watch the flowers grow.
I'd wipe the tears from your eyes,
Paint your world like a beautiful sunrise.
I'd be your moments of sweet reverie;
My love, my life, I'd give you every bit of me.
I'd search for new ways to make you smile,
Run the entire length of the Nile.
I'd go to hell and back for you;
When the whole world is changing, I'll stay true.
I'd take you and keep you safe;
When you're facing trouble, I'll be your hiding place.
Together, we'd create a new home,
With our own hands, lay every brick, every stone.
A home where only love and warmth will reside;
From every nook, every cranny, laughter will arise.
So here, take my hand and let's run
Together into the glorious setting sun.
Come thunder and storms, come what may,
My love, our love will make you stay.
Perhaps my inner romantic jumped out ew I need to tighten her restrains. But also. Although this is romantic, while I was writing this, I didn't have a necessarily romantic relationship in mind. I think friendships can be just as treasurable.
