In case some of you didn't see my Author's Note in my recent update of Hidden Fangs...

I just moved into college (And I'm COMPLETELY HOMESICK, but my suite/roommates are cool.), which means, more schoolwork, and possibly less time on Wattpad.

Don't worry! I'll still be writing, but the updates may be coming in slower than usual.

Hope you guys understand!

Anyway, on with the chapter. :p

Crystal's POV

I hung around in my room after Lucky sent me away. I didn't have anything planned for the rest of the day, so I decided to watch a few movies for the rest of the afternoon. There was going to be a frat party somewhere downtown, so I think I was going to go to that.

After I finished watching my movies, it was already dark out. I decided to shower and get ready for the party. My sister would give me a ride, along with Savannah.

Once out of the shower, I dried my hair, put on some make up, and got dressed. I then went outside to the school's parking lot to meet my sister. Savannah was sitting in the passenger seat, so I had to sit in the back. I hated sitting in the back, it made me feel like I was seven years old again.

"I'm surprised Lucky sent you off so early." My sister commented while she started to back out of the parking lot.

I had called Sydney earlier to ask her if she could bring me to the party. I had to explain to her that Lucky wanted to stay in her room to comfort Riley, so I didn't need to be around for the night.

"Yeah, well, apparently, Riley is more important, so..." I mumbled, sliding down a little in my seat, with my arms folded.

"Well, she kind of is." Sydney chuckled. "She is Lucky's mate, and you're just the bodyguard." My sister looked in her mirror and saw just how much I was sulking. "Oh, stop acting like a five year old who bugged her mother to buy her candy, but didn't get any." She reprimanded me.

"I just thought that being her guard would actually allow us to spend more time together."

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but," Savannah spoke, "even if Lucky wanted to spend time with you, Riley would find a way to hog her as much as possible. Besides, the best thing to do is to just forget about her. I mean, they already ma"

"Look, let's just forget about those two for the night, okay?" My sister quickly stopped Savannah midsentence, and tried to change the subject. She glanced over at her and shook her head. "Let's just go to this party and have fun."

Savannah seemed taken aback by my sister's rudeness, but then seemed to comprehend whatever warning she was given. Just by that gesture, I instantly knew that they were keeping something from me. I didn't press on the situation though.

For the rest of the short ride, I looked out the window. My sister and her mate had a conversation of their own. Occasionally, they'd flirt, or touch each other. I'm used to seeing them be all lovey dovey with each other, but this time, I felt like it was totally unnecessary. Maybe it was just because I was still trying to get over my breakup and heartache.

We arrived at our destination shortly after. My sister parallel parked her car by the building, and we all stepped out and went inside. We saw typical party goers already dancing, drinking, and socializing.

Surprisingly, I felt a little better just by being in this kind of atmosphere. The idea of letting go and having fun took small weight off from my shoulders.
