"Well thank you to both of you, I have no idea how we would have found the exit without your mastering skills in navigation..." The two warthogs snuffled something under their breaths,

"I'm sorry, I believe my girl paid you both a compliment, it would be rude not to thank her.." Hudson's sarcasm matches mine perfectly, clearly the two oafs didn't find us amusing as we found ourselves,

"We see you in here again, we won't handle the situation so delicately as we did back there..." They turned and walked back passing Cara and Blake coming out.

"Fuck me Darcy, the loos in Fixture...classy." Her smile was from ear to ear but her eyes were off?

"When did I ever give you the impression I was a classy bird C?" We giggle and followed the guys down the street. Hudson and Blake grabbed a cab each and came back to us, Cara whispering in my ear before they were in reach,

"Did you see Blake didn't drink a drop of alcohol tonight? I thought he rode his bike here so couldn't drink but he's got himself a cab?" I took note and we would discuss later as I remember he ordered an orange juice at the bar that day which I found odd.

I looked over at her and Blake saying good bye, their kiss was enough to make me blush as I couldn't take my eyes off them. She would never invite him back because of me. Turning to look at Hudson watching me, he smiled and nodded like he was answering my unspoken question.

"Blake, why don't you take Cara home?" They turned to look at me like I'd grown a second head, but I had nothing but a smile, a smile which grew as I felt Hudson's arm wrap around my waist and his front to my back, squeezing he called out,

"Yeah we didn't quite finish what we started in the loos.." I elbowed him in his ribs but he didn't let go. Cara was looking at me differently, like she was torn between what her head was telling her and what her heart was screaming. I looked to Blake and nodded, he grabbed hold of Caras hand and pulled her into the cab.

"You two are lucky to have each other you know.." Hudson's drawl echoed as we watched their cab roll off in the direction of home..

"I don't know about her, but I know I'd be dead if it wasn't for that girl, she's everything to me.." Hudson spun me slowly on the spot and wiped away the stray tears with his big thumbs. Bending to catch my lips I met him half way, but it was a whisper of a kiss,

"You think you could scooch my folks and Cara over just a tad and make some room in that big old heart for me?" His green eyes twinkled with honesty and and something else I'd never seen before. Running my hand along the stubble that was forming I spoke directly into his jade green eyes that in such a short amount of time had become so precious to me,

"You've made a place in my heart where I thought there was no room for anything else" Hudson pulled me tight against his chest and kissed the top of my head, it's the little things he seems to do.

"Let's get going yeah? You sure you want to come back?" He didn't want to push me and I was grateful for that, but I was done with the eggshells that seemed to surround me..

"Shut up please and get your too toned a backside in that cab and take me to wherever you're staying" He bowed once more, what is it with this man and the theatrics! Pulled my arm to loop through his and tipped some imaginary Stetson,

"Yes ma'am" The southern drawl he lays on thick makes me shiver inside, I wish he spoke that thick all the time.

I wake up to strong hands shaking me gently and a rough voice in my ear,

"Wake up Blue, we're here..c'mon Darcy" Nope, I am not ready to wake up, I can't have been asleep for long? My eyes flutter open though as strong arms lift me up and out of the cab and through the lobby of some swanky arse hotel..
