Raven found Primrose curled up by the wolves den, feasting down on a pig.
This is going to be hard to tell her.. Raven thought. "Primrose?" she called.
Primrose looked up expectantly. "What Raven?" she growled. Raven sighed as she had planned what she would say in her head.
"Thunder, he threw Huntress into the tree with the broken branch in front of it." Raven blurted out.
Primrose let out a sigh and Raven could sense a tint of anxiety in her.
"Oh well. Huntress's loss. She should know to not mess with my son." Primrose replied.
"Actually, your son was aiming for the same calf as her and when Huntress pinned it down, Thunder got angry and flung her off very roughly." Raven reasoned with a sigh.
"Talk to Graylight or Duke then." Primrose turned away and carried her pig somewhere else.
Raven huffed and remembered that Primrose was jealous that Glacier and Silverfur became mates instead of her and Glacier. But she decided to take Graylight as a mate since Graylight really liked her and she wanted a mate.
Raven remembered something else too, she would be having her puppies soon as Snowy walked over when she was thinking it.
"Hey Raven!" Snowy greeted, running over and licking her cheek.
"Hey!" Raven licked Snowy back and rested her head on his shoulder.
Raven looked ahead to Goldenglow's healer den entrance.
Swift was padding in with a worried expression on his face.
I wonder how that will go, Swift likes Huntress. He'll probably be a better mate than Thunder ever will be.
"Dad!" Swift hollered. Goldenglow emerged from his herbs and medication and looked at his son.
"Yes Swift?" he asked.
"Is Huntress okay?" Swift's eyes were growing with more concern.
"She's healing well, I can see her eyelid swelling has gone down a lot and she's sleeping very comfortably." Goldenglow soothed.
"Thanks Goldenglow." Swift nuzzled his father's shoulder and then padded over to his mother Electric. "I'll visit later!" Swift turned and yelled.
Yup, seems like a good mate for Huntress. Besides, they're best friends so hopefully it will turn out well! The sunset time of day was coming near, Raven eagerly ran outside of the den arena to watch it. Snowy followed closely behind. "Where do you think you're going?" he questioned.
"What do you mean where am I going?! I'm going to go watch the sunset, silly!" Raven laughed.
"I didn't see you get a bite to eat." Snowy pointed out.
"Oops." Raven looked down at her stomach, it was growling with hunger.
"Here." Snowy dragged over a piglet, a good size to fill Raven up.
"Thanks!" Raven licked his head and inhaled the pig's scent, her mouth watering, she leaned over to take the first bite. In a few minutes the piglet was finished.
"Was it good?" Snowy asked.
"Yes! Thanks again." Raven licked his shoulder.
"Let's go watch the sunset together!" Raven yipped. Snowy smiled and ran behind her.The sun was setting, the sky was turning a dark blue with tints of gray and black forming. The last of the sun's rays sparked orange and yellow at the horizon, which made the sunset have pink, purple, and red in the clouds. Raven sat down and admired the beautiful sight. Snowy sat next to her, his white pelt turning orange and red from the sun beating on it. The sun was sinking into the horizon, like a melting bright orange and red pile of snow. Raven ranged her senses to other packs, curiosity rising. StormPack wolves were swimming in their lake on their territory. FirePack wolves were doing some night hunting. SnowPack wolves were climbing the snowy mountains on their territory. Raven's own pack were eating and going to sleep. The air was getting colder and colder in the nighttime. Raven then snapped out of ranging her senses and watched as the clouds covered the horizon and the sun was completely gone. Only tints of leftover light lit the sky with very dark blue, very close to being completely dark. "We should get going to the wolves den, time to sleep." Snowy padded into the den arena and into the wolves den, Raven nodded and followed him.
Raven scrambled into her nest. "Wait a moment." Snowy whispered, looking her straight in the eyes.
"Yes?" Raven lifted her head up.
"You should be sleeping in the pups den!" he whispered loudly.
"Why? I haven't all long." she replied. "You are carrying pups. You can't sleep in the wolves den. I never noticed you were sleeping in here till today!" Snowy pulled her along to the pups den, carefully avoiding the dead crunchy leaves.
