Chapter 15

Raven fell into her dreams again. What's this one about? She curiously padded into the open moorland to hear birds chirping and the quietest sounds had filled the area as well. There, the scene had switched to a river- a river near Fenix's hideout, it showed a white she-wolf struggling to swim, her paws were flailing and she was whimpering for help. Winston, the hunting dog Raven had fought off, was there standing at the edge of the bank. Raven growled and ran forward, but then her dream ended as the white she-wolf's head disappeared under the rough river currents.
"WINSTON!" Raven growled.
Her packmates were alerted, they stirred from their slumber with their ears perked up. Katie barked nervously as she broke from cuddling Goldenglow, the warmth of his tail had slid away, because of Raven making every wolf jump.
"Are you okay?" Snowy looked at his mate, Raven could tell his eyes were full of concern, wonder, and worry.
"Don't worry, I was just er- surprised. I had a dream of fighting that dumb hunting dog." Raven nodded in an assuring way.
"Oh, okay." Snowy nodded back and licked behind her ear.
"Hunting patrols!" Raven changed the subject. "Lupo, Luke, and Snowy!" Snowy followed what his mate said and lead the two other he-wolves out into the open with him. Raven noticed that Goldenglow had fallen asleep again while Katie stayed awake, playing with her own tail and glancing at her every so often.

Snowy's hunting patrol came back with plenty of mountain fresh prey, the snow was melting and prey was easier to hunt because of that. Goldenglow must've scented prey while asleep, his ears twitched and he yawned, leaning over to a limp and hunted mountain goat. Katie yipped and nuzzled Luke, sitting next to him and sharing sheep. Lupo ate alone while Snowy shared with Raven.
"Thanks." Raven murmured.
"Anytime." Snowy smiled at her before eating.
They had ate the prey, now on full stomachs, Raven lead her and her packmates out to continue the journey to Fenix's hideout.

Katie yipped and pawed at Goldenglow's muzzle.
"Don't do that Katie." Raven warned.
Her senses had picked up the refreshing and calming sound of flowing river water, and scented the stale scents of Fenix and Frostcrow. They were close! Katie growled because she wanted to be free and to play, Raven looked behind and shook her head.
"No Katie!" Goldenglow grumbled. Katie didn't take no for an answer, she wouldn't give up. She ended up successfully getting out of his jaws. "Get her!" Goldenglow hollered. Raven skidded on her paws at a short stop, racing over and chasing Katie, trying to get ahold of her scruff but she was speeding, even if Raven was very fast, there was no luck. Raven had eventually followed Katie to the river, she jumped into a bush to track Katie down. A new scent had coated her nostrils, and looked up to see Winston next to her.
"What do you want?" Raven's nostrils flared angrily.
"Bye bye to your sister." Winston groaned. He leapt out of the bush and skidded, kicking up mud, staining Katie's white pelt. Raven remembered her deadly dream and closed her eyes, she heard whimpering sounding loudly through the calm forest, she opened her eyes to see Winston standing on the river bank as a ball of white, slightly mud stained fur, tried swimming.
"You'll lose this one, wolves." Winston snarled.
"What makes you say that?" Raven questioned smartly, she had leapt out of the bush and raced over, eye to eye with Winston.
"Try, you'll lose, between saving her from drowning and me perfectly fine." Winston pointed out.
Raven sighed heavily with frustration, she didn't hear anymore whimpering or splashing so she turned to see Katie's white ears and the top of her head only staying above while the rest of the water drowned her in.
"Good luck." Winston wagged his tail at his slight victory.
Raven dived into the river's rough current as it tried pulling her downstream. She wouldn't let that happen, she gripped onto Katie's scruff and was about to haul her out as a big splash alerted her by the river's water getting into her eyes.
"Huh?"
"Can't win this one." Winston laughed as he swam closer, ready for a river attack. Raven spit water into his face, she clawed him all over underwater, making him flinch. Katie was shaking, Raven hauled her out of the river as Winston pulled her away from doing so. "Nope." he woofed. Raven slammed her body into him, breaking the water's force, her paws had electric flowing through them which zapped Winston, making him yelp loudly. She hauled Katie out of the river, while Katie lay on the bank unconscious as she waited for Winston to recover from the electric shock.

Raven bit Winston's neck, letting blood turn the crystal clear stream turn into a bloody battle one. He fought back, preparing to not give up, Raven felt as if she would win. She battled with all of her might, digging her claws in and making Winston lose his vision from her powers, the hunting dog blindly flailed his paws. Raven got satisfaction and jumped out of the stream, carrying the unconscious Katie back in a hurry for Goldenglow.
The dream had been repeating in her head, everytime it did, she got a lot of chills running down her spine.

"Oh my wolf tails!" Goldenglow howled as he raced over.
"We're not too far from Fenix, can we do it today?" Lupo asked.
"One at a time." Snowy put in, "Raven can't talk to everyone at once."
"Thank you." Raven barked. "Goldenglow, check on Katie, we need answers right now."
Goldenglow nodded to his sister as he put his paw to her chest. "She's unconscious but she will be fine. We have to keep going, but I know there isn't some good news about that river battle."
"What is the bad news?" Raven asked, curiously and anxiously.
"She lost energy now, it will take a while to recover, she lost power for a while now." Goldenglow muttered.
"WHAT?!" Raven's tail fluffed up.
"Not lying, it will take long for recovery." Her brother looked down guiltily.
"I know it wasn't your fault, it was the hunting dog's." Raven nuzzled her brother, her eyes turned red from anger about Winston.
