I've Got Scars Too.

chapter five

I woke up still clutching the pen and paper, I must have finally fallen asleep. I remember it was late when I started writing, there was wads of paper all around from trying to find the right words. I looked down at the paper in my hands that read "I see him", that was the best I could do. 

I decided to go help Hunk before Shiro woke up. I carefully left the room making sure not to make any noise, which wasn't so difficult since you learn how to go unseen when your stuck with the galra. When I got to the kitchen I could already smell food, I knocked on the door to let Hunk know I was there.

"come in" he called out as I softly stepped into the kitchen and I waved at Hunk. "wanna help" he said with a smile as I shook my head yes. Hunk let me cut up fruit, and he wouldn't let me anywhere near the stove again. I'm surprised he even let me use a knife, I feel like he's trying to baby-proof everything for me. when I finished with the fruit I washed my hands so that they weren't sticky and I started setting the table. After everyone ate breakfast, and I helped clean up, I found Shiro in the lounge and walked over and sat next to him and I made sure to leave enough space that it wasn't uncomfortable. Shiro looked up at me and smiled but his eyes betrayed him, he looked so lost and alone that it hurt me, I handed him the note and smiled slightly and then I started messing with my hands.

"you-you know?" I could feel his eyes on me as I shook my head yes, I heard a soft sob that most people wouldn't hear and I  looked up at him, but all I saw was Kuro and he was crying. 

Kuro  was broken and It was all Haggars fault, he cried, hard. He started to move closer for a hug and then hesitated as if knowing I have trouble with physical contact, so I leaned in closer and hugged him as if my life depended on it. I felt his arms gently land on my back, he then pulled me tighter as he sobbed.

after a while he eventually let go and we sat in silence for a while. "so... uh... do you think we can fix this" he said as he subconsciously rubbed his neck. I pulled out the pen and wrote on the paper "I think so but it will take time for me to figure out everything that happened, and we need the castle of lions. he shook his head to let me know he understood and we both quietly got up and left the room. 

After dinner Allura made the big announcement, the castle of lions was ready.
