A satisfied smile appeared on my face whilst Lauren pulled out her finger before she lay back on top of me to kiss me tenderly, letting me taste the delicious essence of my aroused body.

"You're no good for me," I whispered still out of breath, closing my eyes in disbelief to what just had taken place.

"Only because you release the worst of me," Lauren simply replied as she entwined her drenched fingers with mine, a malicious grin on her face. She placed a soft kiss on my lips before resting her head on my chest; both obviously in need to recover after all our energy had been absorbed by our previous passionate love play.

For the next half an hour, we just lay there; semi-naked and careless about whom could possibly see us, enjoying each other's company and both silently trying to figure out how to interpret the surreal events of this afternoon.

Camila's POV

It had been four days. Four endlessly long days had passed since the river blank, the unpleasant encounter with Liam and ... the car-incident. Four days and no words had been exchanged between Lauren and myself. After driving me home that peculiar Sunday afternoon she'd told me she'd text me later, yet ever since I'd been waiting in vain. I decided not to be the first one to seek her attention, though. After all, if she'd wanted to talk to me, she could have easily sent me a text like she'd said she would, right? But she didn't, hence I had to assume that she was avoiding me. Back in school the very next day, I sensed her uncertain glimpses, but apart from that there was nothing but silence.

Throughout the following days I kept asking myself what I'd done wrong for her to ignore me this way. Obviously, we'd had a more than inconvenient incident, but still to avoid each other after the undeniable attraction there'd been as she pushed me inside her car, breaking through every sign of resistance and only guided by desire, was highly irritating to me.

Nonetheless, I kept those questions to myself, anxious about finding out that all of this had been nothing but a game to her. Had I the right to expect anything else after I myself had made her the offer to be nothing but friends with benefits?

Probably not ...

So there I was, sitting in the lecture hall, mentally absent to the professor as she spoke about anxiety, disinhibition and cognitive behavioral therapy. What today's subject was I wasn't quite aware of, for all my attention was - once again - trapped in Lauren's intriguing being. Despite the extreme tiredness that taunted me, it was an usual Thursday morning. I was seated between Jennel and Liam, who, by the way, had been overly attached to me over the past few days. Despite his mocking comments towards Lauren, I didn't confront him with it nor did I mind him being near me all the time. It wasn't like I was really paying attention to his presence, anyways. He was just kind of there - constantly.

"She's been acting very ungrateful considering that you gave her an extra lesson last Sunday, isn't she?" I heard an apparently distant whisper distracting me from my inner monologue. As I focused back on the here and now, I realized that my eyes had been fixed on Lauren all along my daydreams. I turned my head to the right noticing Liam who kept looking in Lauren's direction.

"What do you mean?" I asked pretending to have been oblivious to the strained mood between me and her these past few days.

"You know, last Sunday she acted so childishly stubborn about you going with her instead of me to help her study, and this week she doesn't even say 'hi' to you whenever she walks past you," he continued, disgust clear in his voice. "I told you she was a bitch."

Instant denial arose within me as I felt the urge to contradict each word of his, yet I was somewhat disappointed for I sensed that his thoughts weren't that far from the truth, after all. Therefore, instead, I just sadly nodded my head in agreement ... in resignation. As much as it hurt to admit it, Lauren had most likely lost interest in me, maybe because she'd gotten the kind of adventurous fun she'd been looking for or because she'd noticed what a boring human being I actually was. Either way, she made me feel highly worthless and undesirable. I would have been naïve to believe that someone as gorgeous and stunning as Lauren would have wasted more time than necessary with someone like me, when instead she could have had anyone else.
