Tuesday - 10:15 AM. Jennel and I walked into the classroom, where we would have our first class of cognitive psychology. I was kind of excited for my first class in college, but I had gone to bed pretty late so I felt I little drowsy. I looked around for a seat and found a cozy one in the last row. "Mila let's start this year like real nerds and sit in front of the prof," Jennel said with a wink. We actually had a close friendship, but sometimes I really wondered how such different persons could get along with each other. "Like I would sit there with 200 peeps behind me, just to let them see how I probably fall asleep during class?! C'mon, let's relax today. Can't we have a seat in the last rows and chill?" I said with my best hangdog look. After a little discussion about where to go, I convinced her and we made our way to the back row. Once we sat, we picked out our writing pads and waited for the prof to show up. Jennel was busy writing some last messages with her phone, so I had nothing left to do but to look around and have a closer look at my future fellows. A guy was already sleeping over his books, while a group of three girls was laughing and giggling like they were at a comedy show. One of them, a blond curled girl kept pointing at some of the girls who were walking in between their laughers, so I guessed they were making fun of them. "Ok, I'm so NOT gonna befriend with those chicks. I know, I'm being superficial, but look the way they stare at others." "I've got your back, hun. Whatever you say," Jennel said, still texting. She paid little attention to my discourse, so I closed my mouth and continued my observations. As the prof came in, almost late, everybody stopped what they were doing and stared straight to the front. He started the class but pretty soon I lost the thread. My daydreams became my entertainment as, all of a sudden, Jennel poked me in the arm. "Hey freak, it's break and I'm hungry. Wanna join me to the cafeteria?" "Sure, I need to pee anyway." We had only 15 minutes, so Jennel kept telling me to hurry up, but I still didn't feel completely awake yet. I accompanied her and while she bought a coffee and a bagel, I looked around searching the bathroom. As I found it I told her to wait for me before getting back to the classroom. I walked quickly and opened the door with a strong push but immediately slowed down as I made eye contact with those green eyes I had been stalking just the day before. It was such an unexpected moment that I stood there for probably just a second, but it felt like I stared at her for what seemed like hours to me. At that instant my mind left my body and it was like I could see myself standing at the door of the bathroom, unable to move, to breathe or even to think. I came to myself as I felt my cheeks blush. With a shaky walk I made my way to a cabin while she walked out. It probably wasn't as awkward as I perceived the short situation, but still I felt warmth within me and I was unable to understand what just happened, what happened to me. On the one hand I knew it was sort of a pleasant surprise to have seen her again and to know that she had seen me too, but on the other hand I was like 'What the fuck!? Why did you just react like a raving dork? And why do you feel like you have an adrenaline rush only because of some girl? I mean, sure she's pretty and you actually have no problem to admit that someone, whether male or female, is handsome... but still WHAT THE FUCK is wrong with you right now?' I washed my hands and tried to refresh my face which had a slight reddish complexion. I walked out and directly to Jennel. I didn't pretend to tell her what just had happened in the bathroom, but my blushed cheeks and the smirk on my face I just couldn't hide revealed her that something was going on. "Mila? What's wrong? You look like an overripe tomato." "Really? I have no idea, I'm fine." I really thought she would leave the subject, but she knew me too well. Sometimes that could be really disturbing, because she could read me like an open book. "Bullshit, don't even try to lie to me, I can see you're nervous. What happened there inside?" "Nothing, I swear. Like seriously, what could have probably have taken place in a bathroom?" I said, trying to sound like I didn't care, but the grin on my face prevented me from doing a believable poker face. "You're not blushed because of the girl who walked out like a minute ago, are you?" she asked, probably making a joke, without knowing she hit the bull's eye. "Which girl?" I questioned, but as the grin on my face just got bigger I knew it was senseless to go on lying. "Hmm yeah I know who you're referring to, but she's not the reason for my basketball-looking face." "Sure! Do we already have a girl crush on her? Haha just kidding, but she really has a great taste for fashion though, like did you see her pants? I've seen some of these in the city and I really like them," she noticed. I just nodded letting her thoughts on the fashion thing. We got back to our places before break was over. Jennel ate her bagel and looked down to her notes, and what about me? As soon as I sat down, my eyes started tracking for the stunning green-eyed girl. I didn't really know why I cared so much about her, but I didn't stop looking for her until I found her to my left, two rows in front of me. The prof went on with his class, but the only thing I could pay attention to was the brown-haired girl I had met 5 minutes ago and I prayed for her to turn around so I could see her obtrusive and mesmerizing look one more time. 'Who are you and what are you doing to me?'
