Chapter 24 - Lunch Date with Andre

Andre

I received a call from my father before lunch hour.

"Andre you have to be here before the end of this week," his voice is sharp.

"Yes Papà."

"Arrivederci," the voice on the other end of the line responded dryly.

Meaning - see you soon

I looked at Hunt who was already inside my office. 

"Hunt,"

"Any urgent?" he asked me.

"Book a flight for me this weekend to Italy,"

"Roger boss."

I took a deep breath, I don't know how long it gonna takes me to stay there and solve the issue. Last time we have a problem with our stockholder, it took me a month to settle it. Investigation is always a tedious part.

As of now, what I need to do is to enjoy every single day I will spend with Ela for this few more days.

"Everything is settle for my lunch date with Ela?"

"Yes boss!"

"Hunt, I think you need to cancel my reservation in The Steakhouse and Bar None."

"Huh, why?" he was wondering on my sudden change of plan.

"I change my mind, change it to Posto Bello this time. I want her to try different food that only Posto Bello can offer.

He wickedly smiled but still follow what I instructed him to do.

"Okay boss done," Hunt said after he hang up the phone.

He then call Mickey Tours and Travel, a licensed travel and tour agency to accomodate my request. 

"I think I better go down to fetch Ela now," I don't say it directly to Hunt but just enough for him to hear it.

"Whooo, whooo!!! So excited? Hahaha!"

He is irritating but I don't want to ruin my day.

"You are just envious bro, because you don't have a date!" I exclaimed.

I'm expecting a violent reaction but instead, he gave me a wry smile on his lips and his eyes mocking at me.

"I have also my plan dear boss!" and a joker smile came out on his face and he exited my office.

Angela

Nakakakaba ang araw na ito. I will be having my lunch with Andre. Puro pang-aasar ang nakuha ko sa tropa, pero alam kong masaya sila para sa akin.

Napakabilis ng oras, malapit nang mag-alas dose at tense na ako.

"Best, panay naman ang tingin mo sa orasan eh. Huwag kang kabahan, kakain lang kayo, just be yourself okey," malamyos niyang wika.

Napasulyap ako sa kanya at ngumiti.

Ang dami ko kasing naiisip tulad ng mga sasabihin ng mga kapwa ko empleyado kapag nakita kami. Yung reaksyon nila ngayon, reaksiyon nila bukas at sa makalawa. Paano ko sila pakikibagayan kapag may nasabi silang hindi maganda sa akin.

"Best, don't think too much please, just enjoy your day with Al. You'll be fine don't worry," Ayi said with assuring smile.

Napahinga ako nang malalim, "thanks Best."
