Andre

After our delightful meal, we all move to the lounge area for our coffee. As usual ristretto bianco for Mama with hot steamed milk on the side and long black espresso for me. My Ela had her caramel macchiato.

I can't stop smiling seeing how they get along so easily. I really loved this moment I spent with them.

Recalling the lunch we had, made me ecstatic and high. I knew a lot from my Ela based on her resume, but I don't know what's inside her heart.

Flashback

"Hija, I'm glad at nagkakilala na tayo nang personal," Mama uttered.

Mama just finished her lunch at the Steakhouse, and I knew she was already full but still manage to spend time with me and my Ela for our lunch.

She said, 'she terribly wants to meet Ela in person'. Hahahaha!!!

"Salamat po Tita, ikinagagalak ko rin pong makilala kayo," my sweet Ela replied.

She stares to Ela and says, "maganda ang mga mata mo hija, hmm parang may kapareho?" she paused awhile then continued, "Oh sorry, never mind hindi ko maalala. By the way hija kamusta ang pag-aaral mo?"

"Mabuti naman po Tita," my Ela softly replied.

"She is graduating soon Mama by next year in St. Claire University," I added.

I knew that my mother knows about my Ela's whereabouts and just pretending she don't know.

Hahaha, funny!

"That's good hija. So OJT na lang ang ginagawa mo sa semester na ito?"

"Naglalaro po ako sa SCU Hawk ladies Volleyball Team at may Inter-School Sports Competition po kami next month. Usually ang practice namin ay magsisimula na ngayong katapusan at magiging araw-araw na po ang paghahanda namin."

This time I'm so disappointed! Going to Italy means I can't see her on her practice or on her games. Why the heck everything is wrong timing! Huh!

"How you would able to cope-up with the schedule niyan hija?"

"Don't worry Mama, we knew that some of our OJT's here from SCU are member of their school Sports League. We already have a special arrangement on their schedule during those days of their practice and competition as well," I answered to my mother.

"Oh I see. hindi ka ba niyan mapapagod hija?"

"Hindi naman po Tita, sanay naman po ako," she drinks her wine and had a glimpse of me.

Hahahaha, she is so lovely. I can't stop but gave her my dazzling smile.

"What do you mean hija?"

"Sanay po ako sa ganoong set-up. Kasi nung first and second year ko sa college ay bukod sa volleyball player na ako ay nagpa-part-time pa ako sa Mc Donald's nu'n sa Bayan."

"Really? H-how did you manage that?" my mother asked with amusement in her tone.

"Time management po Tita. Priority ko ang pag-aaral at ang pagiging varsity player ko. Kaya kung may laban, less ang work ko sa McDo, pero kung wala naman school competition, more on work naman ako."

"That's amazing! Napakasipag mo hija,"

"I agree Mama, she is really amazing," I answered, smiled and gave my Ela a dazzling smile again.
