That Sunday Isa wanted to show Morgan where she grew up in a little village north of her current home town. Remembering how well it went when she forced him to meet his mother, she suggested that they would pop by her father's house.

Morgan smiled and shook his head. "Might as well get it over with, right?"

His comment made her rethink the depth of their relationship. "It's okay if we skip that... really." She assured.

"Don't be silly, of course I want to meet your father." He gave her a light peck on the mouth. "He needs to know that his daughter is taken care of."

Isa raised her brows in a visual 'and what the frickin' are you talking about' face, making Morgan snicker. "Chauvinistic much or just American?"

He simply shrugged his brows but then wrapped his arms around her waist. "I'd love to meet the man who has raised you to be who you are today." Sincerity and charm gets you everywhere and Isa smiled, biting her lower lip and looking at him through her lashes. He started to laugh. "Flatter worked? I'll make a note of that."

The girl laughed and shook her head. "That always works."

"I'll keep that in mind."

"You knew that already Morgan." She gave him a pointed look and he laughed.

"I did..."

Once again she shook her head with a wide smile. "I'll call him." she dialed his number. "Hi dad..." She said in English and started to laugh. "I'm sorry; I forgot to change to Swedish." She apologized again in Swedish.

Her father laughed. "That's okay, I understand English; I used to be married to this American beauty, you know." He said chuckling, and they continued their conversation in Swedish.

"I was just checking if you're home; I wanted to come and visit."

"Julia and I are home, but Sophie is working." He explained and she had to work hard so he wouldn't hear the sigh of relief. Isa had never got along with her father's new wife, but Julia, their five year old daughter was treating her big sister as some kind of superhero.

Isa promised to buy something sweet for fika-time, and then she started to figure out the transportation trouble. She knew Wilma needed her car and it wasn't possible to take the train to her father's place. Taxi was too far. Times like this made her seriously consider buying herself a car. She was anxious to show Morgan her country, with the extensive bright yellow rape fields and the beech forest that was light green now in the spring time.

"Can't we rent a car?" He suggested and her face lit up.

"That was a really good idea!" She was a little annoyed that she didn't think of it herself but she had never rented a car here.

They walked down to Hertz and went through the confusing system of regulations concerning someone with an American drivers license and renting cars in Sweden. The girl behind the counter was blushing and had to ask her supervisor several times before it stood clear that Morgan was allowed to drive, but needed special permission to rent a car. Isa thought it sounded very ambiguous and pulled out her Swedish license which apparently was okay.

Her transfer between languages was apparently enough to make the poor girl confused; add the regulations and Morgan's good looks... it was not easy for her.

Morgan decided he had to have a Volvo and his eyes fell on a silver colored S60. "That's the one; fitting for a vampire!" He added discretely. Smiling Isa shook her head as she recognized the car from Twilight.
