"I can't believe we're finally getting off this island," you happily said as you carried more cargo onto the ferry. "At long last."
"Yes," one of the lorbs said hopping up onto the railing of the ferry. "And I have to admit, I will miss you silly frinefloofers."
"Yeah, you, too," you said with a forced smile. Not.
"Bye, lorbs!" Rapunzel happily said waving as the ferry set sail.
Overall, it was supposed to be a simple trip to land, but apparently nothing was simple for you. You had been on deck when Eugene and Maximus had there stupid fight about rules.
"Would you two knock it off," you said as you watched Eugene hand onto the railing and Maximums tugging on his pants to get him to let go. "You're just embarrassing your-AHHH!" Before you could complete your sentence, the railing broke, sending you, Eugene, and Maximus overboard and into the water.
"Stop!" Eugene cried out as the ferry continued on, leaving the three of you behind.
"Great!" you said in annoyance. "Just great! You two just couldn't get along for five minutes! Now look where you've landed us! Out in the middle of the ocean! You know, I keep telling myself every morning that this day will be better but no! I'm poisoned, held hostage, nearly drowned, almost burned alive, attacked by possessed friends, and stranded in the middle of nowhere!"
"Alright, calm down, (y/n)," Eugene said placing a hand on your shoulder. "We're gonna be okay."
"Oh, we're gonna be okay?" you said with sarcasm dripping from your tone. "What? Is a ship just randomly gonna show up and-" You stopped mid-sentence when the three of you saw a ship emerge from the shadows.
"You were saying," Eugene said with a smirk.
"Oh, shut up," you said lightly punching him. "Let's get moving."
The three of you swam to the side of the ship and quietly climbed up a robe hanging off the side. You looked around after making it on deck. "It almost looks deserted," you said.
"Nah, someone has to be onboard," Eugene said. "Come on, let's find the captain."
Maximus suddenly neighed and got your's and Eugene's attention. You looked down through the bars in the floor of the deck to see several jail cells below.
"Okay, it's a prison barge," Eugene said slightly nervous. "But there's nothing to worry about. All the bad guys are locked down there."
You gulped and followed Eugene as he continued to look for the captain. "Don't worry guys," Eugene said to you and Maximus. "This barge has got to be headed for the Mainland. It's got nowhere else to go."
Maximus suddenly grabbed you and Eugene and ducked behind stacks of cargo. You peaked your heads out to see familiar criminals walking by.
"That's the last of the guards," one of them said. "The mutiny's complete."
"Did he say mutiny?" Eugene asked in a panicked whisper.
You all looked over the cargo and at the main deck below. There were several criminals goofing around and fighting each other.
"Okay," Eugene said. "A mutiny might complicate things, but we can still-"
"The ship is ours, boys!" a familiar voice exclaimed. Your eyes widened a little when Lady Caine jumped from the main mast and down to the deck.
"Okay, so there's Lady Caine," Eugene said sounding more nervous. You made him turn his head. "And Antony the Weasel. And Pocket. And Otter. And literally every bad guy we've ever put away." Max moved Eugene's head to the side, showing him Axel. "Really?! The horse, too?! We're literally on a boat full of every person who wants to kill us! We're only missing-" Before Eugene could finish his sentence, two giant thugs slid down the mast with their daggers. "...the Stabbingtons. Well, at least there isn't-"
A hooded figure suddenly showed up on deck. A raccoon followed and climbed up the person's body and onto his shoulders. He lowered his hood, revealing dark black locks of hair with a single highlight of light blue. "Finally," he simply stated.
You felt your blood run cold and your face pale. "Are you kidding me?!" you loudly whispered.
