Varian looked out his window at the village. Among all the people, he spotted you. A dopey smile spread across his face. He had been crushing on your for years, but he never really had the courage to talk to you. He'd only see you from a distance.

Varian's eyes widened when he saw a boy take hold of your hand. He dashed out of his house and into the village. He hid behind some stacked barrels and looked at the two of you.

You kept pulling your hand out of the boy's grip, but he just kept grabbing it again. He planted a kiss on your hand and continued up your arm as you tried to pull away. Varian could feel a bit of anger starting to bubble in his chest.

Suddenly, the boy tried to grasp your breast and slapped you when you made him stop. Varian felt something in him snap. He came out from behind the barrels and slowly walked towards the two of you.

The rest was a blur. All Varian could remember was a whole lot of pain and a bit of blood on the ground. He tried not to think much about it as he lead you away from the scene.

"Are you okay?" Varian asked once you rounded a corner.

"I think so," you said rubbing your cheek. "Thank-you for your help."

"Hey," Varian said. "It was nothing. My dad is probably going to kill me when he finds out, though."

You chuckled a little. "I'm (y/n)," you said outstretching your hand.

"Varian," he said shaking your hand.

You two were always together after that. Varian did get rather upset whenever any guys would hurt you. Let's just say, it never ended with a pretty picture. You didn't mind too much. He really only stepped in if he needed to. You knew you loved him, and you knew he'd always protect you.
