I heard him say, rushed, as he went out of the antique shop.
"Wait up."
He had this awkward smile on his face. I had to listen carefully to the woman talking about the antique pair of silver bracelets which caught my eyes.
According to her, they belonged to an Italian couple from the 19th century who were known to be voyagers, perished along with thousands of passengers in the infamous RMS Titanic. He wasn't able to listen to the story...he moved around like a trouble cat.
I know for a fact that Hoseok is quite terrified of antiques and the place, seriously gave him goosebumps. That's why he left me with that knowing smile on his face.
He can actually forget I exist if ever a ghost shows up. He'll leave me for sure. 😑
The woman said the bracelets were believed to make a couple inseparable wherever they go...and brought good luck. However, when the former owners decided to embark on a journey, they left the bracelets. But still together, they departed.
I smiled at the old woman;
"A-are these for sale?..."
She glanced at me and back to the scaredy cat outside waiting.
"Do you love him?"
I smiled. I knew the bracelets would cost a lot.
She stared at me for a moment and crossed her arms.
"These are family heirlooms... and these ones were given to me by my parents. Since I never married and I have no one to give the other pair...I've been thinking about donating it to the museum. They belonged to my grandparents."
I was more stunned.
She carefully took and placed them on a silk cloth.
"Take care of them. Do not lose them no matter what...I will haunt your boyfriend when I die, if that happens. Since he's very scared even with the most trivial things... you both will last. But a sacrifice must be done. It's either you come to him or he comes to you, leaving something behind. 3 kids...and they'll all inherit your love of music. That soul loves you...however he often changes his mind at some things. You are the stronger person...so you are expected to look after him...you will marry young."
I was in awe the whole time. I can't believe I'm facing a badass fortune teller right now and she was giving me the bracelets.
Marry him?...omg. 😏💕
"A-are you sure I can take them...I can pay for them really..."
She shook her head with a sophisticated smile on her still beautiful face despite the fading age.
