After realising his huge mistake, Adrien wanted to slap himself so hard. He is so stupid. He had to find his Lady before anything else. He transformed despite his kwami complaining once again about his hungry stomach. He kept looking around for his "crush" but still couldn't find her. He became quickly hopeless and decided to stop for a moment in a small alley. When he landed, he noticed young girl with short, black hair and blue highlights. When she turned around and saw the black cat hero, her eyes widened through her glasses.

"Please don't recognise me," thought the young teenager.

"Hi, what are you doing here?"

"Ummmm.....Taking a walk...," nervously responded the girl.

"In a small, dirty and dark alley?"

"Yes, you are here to."

"Well I can defend myself," answered Chat Noir while grinning.

"And what makes you think I can't defend myself?"

Chat Noir couldn't really respond at that, her attitude kind of reminded him of his fearless partner.

"Meow-ouch," he responded as he grabbed his chest jokingly, "And can I know the name of this feisty little lady?"

"Maria."

"It's a nice name."

"Thanks..."

After a few seconds, Chat Noir's smile faded as he remembered his goal. "Maria" clearly saw that and couldn't help to ask, "What's going on Chat Noir?"

The super hero sighed and confessed to this random girl who felt so familiar, "I'm looking for Ladybug...I want to talk to her..."

"Really? Even after those events?"

"Yes...the truth is she didn't kill anyone..."

"WHAT?!?" yelled Marinette out of surprise but not for the reasons Chat Noir thought.

"There is this wise man, who knows a lot about Chat Noir and Ladybug stuff, and he confirmed to me that if Ladybug did kill someone, some things would change, like her powers...But they didn't..."

"Oh...And...Will you tell this to the citizens?"

"I wish I could... But I can't....If I explain why, to much information would be revealed about our powers and Hawkmoth or other evil beings could use it against us... And even if I was vague, I doupt that people would accept that easily..."

"Right...."

"I'm so stupid...I should've listened to her..."

"Chat Noir, Ladybug is understanding...I'm sure she will forgive you after yelling at you for a bit," winked the "stranger".

"Yeah...Thank you for helping me," smiled the blond teen.

"Hey, sometimes even super heroes need advice and help."

"Do you need a lift?"

"Oh no, don't worry, I'm meeting up with some friends," she lied.

"Okay then, be careful."

Later

Mr. Clark was just chilling around in town thinking about the disappearance of that girl.

He was about to walk in a Starbucks when a rondom girl walked by. He quickly turned around as he thought he saw Marinette. But, no it wasn't her. She did have raven hair and blue eyes just like her. A few freckles here and there and a small and round nose. Despite the schocking resemblance he noticed that the young girl was limping and looked like she was about to faint.

He rushed towards her, "Miss are you okay?"

The young girl looked at him with tired and puffy eyes, "Oh, yeah...I'm fine."

At that very moment her stomach growled like some creepy monster and she blushed from embarrassment.

"You're hungry, aren't you?"

"Yeah...," admited Marinette.

"Let me treat you, you seem tired," smiled gently the officer.

"Oh...Thank you so much sir," she smiled weakly.

"Call me Steve. What's your name?"

"Maria."

They both entered the cafe and took muffins and pancakes with coffee.
They both sat down quietly but Steve couldn't keep quiet for long.

"So what does a starving young girl like you does wondering in the streets of Paris?"

"Oh...well...I..."

"You ran away, didn't you?"

"How did you know?!"

"I had my doubts. Plus, I had my fair share of kids on the run."

"What do you mean?" she curiously asked.

"Well, when I was 16, I ran away to. I was an orphan, and the family who adopted me was not really nice. They were at first but after the death of their real son, everything went crazy. I couldn't bare it anymore and left. I hoped that my problems would just go away, but they didn't," he said as he looked at his cup of coffee, "I happened to have even more," he chuckled.

"And how did you solve those problems?"

"I came back and a police officer helped me get through everything. Talking to people helped a lot and talking to my parents to. And what about you?"

"Well...I have a very busy schedule lets say...And I had so much trouble keeping up with school and my parents were really pressuring me. Then I got accused of something I didn't do and people that I cared about turned their backs on me. Plus other events outside of school made me leave..."

"Well, I'm sure that your parents are worried sick. And other people to. Don't try to run away from problems, face them."

"Thank you so much Steve, you helped a lot."

"Your welcome, Marinette."

"What dis you say?!?"

"I figured it out as I listened to you. And also it's not a very good disguise that you have."

"You would be surprise how much those kinds of disguise would work," she laughed.

"Do you want me drop you off somewhere?"

"It is kind of you but I need to sort somethings out before going back."

"I understand, I'll give you my number so you can call me when you're done with your stuff."

Marinette looked hesitant as she was aware of stranger danger.

"Don't worry, I'm an officer," he said as he showed his badge, "But if in two days you haven't come back, I will come and get you myself, deal?"

"Deal."
