The fresh air running on my cheeks felt really good. The wind dried my tears as I was swinging through the city. I landed on the top of the Eiffel tower and thought about everything. I knew my parents were mad at me for being such a disappointment. I guess I always knew it but... I denied it for so long. At least, I still had my friends...

After I finally calmed down, I headed towards my room. As I walked in, my mother came in. I panicked and went on my balcony to transform back.

"Marinette?"

"I'm on the balcony," I answered with a trembling voice, still disturb by my father's words.

"Listen honey, your dad, he just..."

"No, it's okay. I don't need to talk about it. He was mad, I get it..."

"You're sure?"

"Yeah...I'm going to rest..."

"Okay. Come down for dinner in about an hour."

"Okay."

I lied down on my bed with Tikki next to me. I'm pretty sure she wanted to say something but held back. When I was called to go and set the table, I faked being asleep not wanting to confront my parents. My stomach was growling and begging for food but I didn't listen to my body and ignored it.

The next day, I was late, again. I didn't have time to eat breakfast and managed to get to class in time. Being athletic has it's perks.

Today Alya wasn't there and I felt so lonely. During recess I called her and apparently she was in the south of France. Her grandmother was sick and it was pretty bad. She wouldn't be there for a week.

As we finished classes, my parents wanted to pick me up so they will be sure I'll do my homework. But they were running late. I sat down in the stairs and started my maths homework. I didn't understand a thing. Well, I missed a lot of classes after all. As I was rubbing my forehead out of frustration, a random force pushed me and I tumbled my way to the bottom of the stairs. When I looked behind me, I saw Chloé and Sabrina, looking at me with an evil look and a large grin.

"So clumsy, watch out."

"You're the one who pushed me!"

"Yeah right, like I would touch a peasant"

"Get lost Chloé!"

"Look who's trying to stand up for herself, how cute"

"Why...why do you have to be such an ASS to everyone?! Are you really that insecure about yourself that you need to bully everyone?!"

"Well at least I'm not poor!"

"And at least I have a mom that ACTUALLY loves me!"

It took a few moments for Marinette to register what she just said. When she finally understood she quickly tried to apologise, "Oh god...Chloé...I'm sorry..."

But the blond girl didn't listen and started to tear up. But instead of yelling "daddy" she slapped Marinette.
Her cheek burnt like hell. And of course, Adrien arrived seeing Chloé in tears, "What the hell happened?"

"Adrikins!! Marinette said that my mother doesn't love me!!" she whined as hard as she could.

"What...Marinette is that true?"

"Well...yes...but..."

"I never thought you would say that...", he sighed. You could feel the disappointment filling his smooth voice.

"I know...I wasn't thinking and..."

But instead Adrien grabbed gently her wrist and took Chloé away, leaving Marinette with on of the biggest shame she ever felt.

Later that day, the young girl was studying quietly in her bedroom until a random girl popped out of her window. When she looked closely, she realised that it was Chloé, akumatised.

"Chloé?!"

"I'm not Chloé, I'm Mime!! I will destroy you Marinette Dupain-Cheng!!!"

"Chl...I'm sorry, really. I shouldn't have say that."

"It's too late."

On her words she threw herself at me and everything went pitch black.
