Heroes are human too

Chapter 12

That it was. Their chance to stop the evil man who brutalized Paris and the liar number one on earth. Neither of the two sides was taking it easy. Adrien was fighting so hard against himself, trying to tell his brain : "Forget that he's  your father, forget it, forget it". Of course, for Hawkmoth it wasn't such a dilemma.
As the fight went on, Ladybug and Volpina ended up in a separate room, still fighting their heart out. At least regarding Marinette. Lila's intentions were purely driven by rage and hatred. Her blows were much more violent and deadly. Ladybug was trying her best not to give in to pain, still injured from the last incident. Despite her disadvantage, she was as  fierce as ever.  But at some point, she didn't have much choice and  had to use her lucky charm. Enable to fight off Lila on her own, she used the opportunity to buy herself sometime. She trapped the evil girl under a pile of pillows to slow her down. But sadly, it was an illusion all along. When she turned back, Volpina was standing there, right behind her, ready to strike. She easily dodged it and began once more her fight.
Things were getting dangerous, in a few minutes she would be powerless. She had to find a solution soon, but it was hopeless. When her last dot was starting to faint, Lila's smirk widened.

"Well Ladybug, seems like it's checkmate for you."

Ladybug tried her best not be disturbed by the striking truth. She used this small instant of Lila's crazy faze and punched her in the guts to the other side of the room. Marinette ran to the opposite way and tried to hide as much as she could. As she was de-transforming, the bluenette took out her phone and pressed on an app.

"Ladybug, come out, come out where ever you are..." she sung while spinning around her long wooden flute.

In a split of a second, Lila grabbed her by her shirt and finally her enemy's face.

"You have to be kidding me? You of all people? That is just great!!!!" she laughed hysterically.

"What's so funny Lila?"

"I mean my work to make you go down as Ladybug was perfect but this! I wanted to destroy you as you're hero self, make you vulnerable so we could get to you! And what that blond pest did to so called Marinette was actually useful! She helped me so much. And it would have worked if Chat Noir wasn't such a puppy."

Marinette of course was getting angrier and angrier but she somehow had a small grin plastered on her face.

"What's so funny?"

"Lila for once you were honest. Thank you."

"What?"

Marinette put up her training to use and managed to throw  Lila on the floor, knocking her out. After that she wuickly transformed back, the small teen broke free the butterfly, tied her up an took off.

Meanwhile, Adrien had to fight his own blood. And it was extremely painful to think about it. There were so many opportunities where he could have token advantage of the situation but never did... He was holding back his tears so bad that he felt like his eyes were melting away. He had never felt that feeling before except once a few days ago...Betrayal.

"Why are you doing this?! Do you realize how much people you have endangered?!"

"I do not care. All I want is my wife back! You're only a  kid, you couldn't possibly understand!" he let screamed almost bursting his lungs. 

"That's where your wrong!" he yelled back as his gave a huge hit with his silver staff, "I know exactly how you feel, I lost someone I loved to!" he cried angrily.
