Dragon Slayers

I wake up the next morning feeling warm and comfortable in Natsu's arms. I snuggle back into him for warmth when I hear a knock at the door. Natsu groans and squeezes me before he gets up and answers it. He opens the door to see Levy, Gray and Gajeel. Natsu growls when he sees Gajeel.

"Natsu I need you to calm down. Please." Levy says and hold a hand up for him to stop.

I get out of bed and go wrap my arms around Natsu to try to calm him.

"Y/N I think I know what's going on. I need your help though. Ok?" Levy says and I nod. "Ok. Natsu. I need you to stand there and don't move no matter what. Ok. This is just a test."

"Ok. But I don't think I'm going to like this test." Natsu growls.

"Ok. Y/N come here." She motions for me and I come. "I know your history with gray and Natsu's new found rage for Gajeel. So this should prove my theory."

Levy then whispers in their ears and all 3 back off. Gray comes to me first and wraps me up in a hug and we hear Natsu growl loudly. Gray then lets go and backs off. Then Gajeel comes and wraps me up in a hug and Natsu lunges at him but I stop him.

"That proves my point! Gray has actually kissed you before whereas Gajeel has done nothing. It's the fact that Gajeel is a dragon slayer as well!" Levy shouts

"I don't understand." I say as I hold onto Natsu tightly.

"Think of it as two alpha males fighting over a mate. Natsu has basically claimed you as his mate and since Gajeel is a dragon slayer as well he sees him as a threat and another male trying to take his mate. Make sense?" Levy explains.

"I guess..."

"Ok. Let me give you a example. Think of them as two male wolves and your the only female wolf. Natsu has claimed you as his but he sees Gajeel as another male wolf trying to take you to be his mate."

"I get it now." I say shyly and blush

"So does that mean I'll want to rip his and every other dragon slayers head off from now on just for looking at her?!" Natsu asks in frustration

"There is a way to stop it but it's up to Y/N..." Levy says with uncertainty

"What is it?" I ask curiously

"He has to mark you as his. To mark you he has to bite you and a dragon will appear on your skin. And you'll be his. Forever." Levy explains

"That's easy. She already said she loves me for infinity and wants to marry me." Natsu says happily.

"Yes but I also said it's to soon. We're both teenagers still...." I say sadly and nervously

"So you won't let me mark you?" Natsu asks sadly.

"I....I don't know. It's to soon. I love you but being marked forever sounds....overwhelming."

The look on Natsu's face was one I never wanted to see. Heartbroken. I felt my own heart break seeing it.

"She is right Natsu. It's a lot to take in. Give her some time to think. But I know she will say yes." Levy says reassuringly

"Levy's right man. We all know she loves you to death. She's not going to leave you. But being marked does sound overwhelming." Gray says and Natsu growls at him.

While everyone is talking I back away quietly. I need time to think. Gajeel saw me but let me go. Natsu was to busy growling at gray and Levy was to focused on calming down Natsu.

Im sorry Natsu. I love you. So much. But this is a lot to take in. There's no doubt I want to be yours but forever? Am I ready for that? Am I ready for that kind of commitment right now?
