Chapter 14~ Im Sorry

I woke up by the sound of my alarm.  I let out a loud sigh. I wasn't feelin it today. I didn't feel Jordan next to me so I assumed he left for work.

I walked to the bathroom to get ready for work. When I was finished I walked downstairs and heard someone in the kitchen.

I walked into the kitchen and saw Jordan cooking breakfast and Kevin sitting in a high chair eating Cheerios. I smiled as I looked at Kevin. I walked over to him and kissed his forehead.

I guess that's when Jordan noticed me because he spoke. "Good morning" he said nervously. "Morning" I said dryly and kept my focus on Kevin.

Jordan sighed and cut off the stove. "We need to talk" he said. "About what?" I asked still not looking at him. "About last night" he said. I was surprised I didn't think he would remember that.

"I didn't think you where going to remember" I said still playing with Kevin's hair. "Yeah I was all the way fucked up last night" he said lowly chuckling. "Hm I can see that" I said. "Jay please look at me" he said as he walked from behind the counter.

I finally looked up at him. He looked fresh not what I expected. He had on some sweats and a black v-neck shirt. I guess he didn't have to go into work today. "What?" I asked him. He looked down then back up at me. "I'm sorry for what happened last night, me and my boys went out and had a couple of drinks" he said.

"Where did y'all go?" I asked him. "Some club around the corner" he said. "The strip club?" I asked. "Yeahhh I think" he said.
"Why did you go?" I asked him. "I don't know your always gone and I be bored so I guess I decided to go because of that." He said shrugging.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Jordan we are always together when I'm not working, you can stop using that as an excuse." I said now getting aggravated. "Yeah where together before you have to run to a meeting, after you get done filing some papers, while your checking your email. That's not together you don't even have time to have sex with me Jay you be to damn tired or buried in work." He said pouring out all of his problems and what was on his mind.

"I have a full time job you know that" I said as I crossed my arms and came closer to him. "I know baby I know but can you please take two minutes away from it and focus on me? That's all I ask. I'm not about to say fuck it over something that can easily be fixed...we are going to work this out" he said now holding onto my hands and looking me in my eyes.

I don't know why he wanted to stay with me. I just don't get it. I thought on it for a while until I finally spoke. "Alright alright I'll see if I can talk to my dad about taking a few days off" I said. "That's all I ask...I miss my mama" he said as he leaned his forehead on mine. "I miss you too" I said as I smiled up at him.

He smiled back at me and pecked my lips. I stared at him. What made him want to stay with me? What made him want to not give up? Why does he keep pushing this relationship? All those questions I just couldn't find the answer too.

"After you get off of work I'm going to take you out so be ready" he said. "But what about Kevin?" I asked him. "Oh my mom can take him" he said. I shook my head in disagreement "no your mom needs to rest let my brother take him." I said. "Your brother?" He said. I nodded "I don't know your brother" he said. "Well this would be a good time for you to get to know him." I said. "Which one are we talking about?" He asked me. "Oh Terry..he doesn't have to work the week so we can drop him off at his house".

"I don't know Jay" he said shaking his head. "Pleaseee baby? I want to spend some time with you...just you. You know maybe we could try out some new tricks" I said smirking up at him. "Tricks?...what's his address?" he asked. I just laughed and kissed his lips.
