Chapter 40~ Stay

{Jay's POV💕}

It's the next day and I'm getting ready for the date with Jordan.

"Aye Jay have you seen my blue hoodie?" Dre asked me walking into the room confused.

"Um no check the dirty clothes ben" I said.

I walked to the closet and grabbed my shoes so I could head out the door.

I walked up to Jordan's door and knocked. I was actually excited about this whole date thing.

I knocked on his door a couple of times and when he didn't answer I knocked some more.

He finally came to the door but he looked horrible.

"Hey so you ready?" I asked him scrunching up my eyebrows.

He coughed then spoke "ready for what?" He asked me holding his chest.

"The little date thang?" I asked him trying to jogging back his memories.

"Oh yeah the date..." he said lowly he looked dizzy. He started to slide down the door but he moved himself back up.

"I forgot about the...the date" he said falling again. "Okay alright let's get you inside." I said picking him up.

I walked him into the house and laid him on the couch.

I felt his forehead and I was right he coming down with a cold.

"Your getting sick lemme go make you some soup" I said taking off my shoes and walking into the kitchen.

"How you feelin?" I asked him as I rubbed on his head softly as he laid on my lap.

"Better" he said. Two cans of soup, three cups of orange juice, four bathroom breaks, and two naps later and he's finally feeling better.

"Good" I said turning the tv down.

"Thank you." He said taking my hand in his. "For what?" I asked him. "Stayin here to take care of me, sorry about the whole date I ain't mean for it to turn out like this" he said shrugging.

"Oh it's fine don't worry about it" I said turning the tv off. I lifted his head up so I could get up.

"I'm going to go get some clean sheets and blankets I'll be right back." I said walking out the room.

I walked back to the living room and seen Jordan in the kitchen cooking.

"Whatchu cooking?" I asked him.

"Jus something for you, a thank you present" he said smirking.

"Hmm" I said. I just watched him as he cooked, gosh I missed him so much.

Couldn't nobody tell me that what me and this boy had or what me and this boy still have isn't anything.

I love him so much that it hurts. I wish I knew what to do and what I wanted but I don't.

"So Jay are you ready yo get married?" He asked me.

I frowned I knew he was going to bring him up.

"Yeah I'm actually excited...you know? I've never gotten married so I'm really happy about this." I said finishing it off.

"You know if you would have waited then we could have had your dream wedding." He said turning around to look at me.

"Jordan don't start please I-"

"No Jay, do you know how much it hurts to see you happy with someone else that isn't me?" He said with heart break in his eyes.

"I haven't been able to hold you for years...and I'm not talking about all those little times I'm talking about holding my women...i haven't been able to love you and care for you like I promised...and it hurts I've failed you and myself but I'm trying so hard to make it up to you Jay....but I can only go so far without disrespecting your husband..."

"Jordan-"

"No Jay...im not giving up on us, I can't" he said.

"You have no choice..." I said with watery eyes.

I shrugged my shoulders "You know?...I'm sorry but we are done" I said, I bit my lip and moved out of the chair.

"Jay wait.." he said walking after me.

"So are you telling me you don't love me anymore?" He asked me.

"Of course not..." I said biting my lip. "I'm telling you I can't love you anymore.."  I said.

"So this is it? Never again will I see Jay Banks huh?" He asked me.

His eyes started to water. "Damn Jay...you sure know how to break a heart." He asked me as he whipped his eyes.

"Hearts where meant to be broken at least.." I shrugged "that's what I was taught." I grabbed my keys and walked out of his house.
