Jin. Is. Sick.
And of all the days, he had to get sick on a Thursday where they have the notorious Mr. Bang for first and second period. And mind you, that teacher likes to give quizzes. Quizzes which can have a perfect score of more than a hundred every single time.
The thought of losing such points when he already barely have some on the class record almost made Seokjin rush towards school. But the hammering headache made him think otherwise. There is no way he's gonna go to school while sporting such pain in the head.
No. Nuh-uh. Not today.
So falling back into bed with a thud, Jin drifted off to La La Land once again, completely unaware of the fact that Namjoon is already sweating buckets in his seat inside their classroom due to worry.
The younger glanced up to stare at the wall clock hanging just above the whiteboard.

Where is that big idiot?
Before settling his wandering eyes back to the talking Mr. Bang, Namjoon gave Seokjin's empty seat one last lingering look, his mind full of nothing but worry for the missing older.

"Sweetie?" A sweet whisper partnered with a soft, warm touch in his cheek made Jin slowly open his eyes. Everything was blurry at first until his mother's face came into view. She was sitting in his bed, a tray in her lap.
"Eomma..." Seokjin whispered.
"How are you feeling?" She asked with eyes full of worry.
Jin moved to sit up, coughing and sneezing in the process.
"I'm fine. It's just a cold. And a little fever."
"I already called your school. Are you gonna be fine by yourself? I don't want to, but I have to leave for work. I have an important meeting today." The worry in her voice brought warmth to the boy's heart, stretching his lips in a smile.
"I can manage."
His mother sighed. "Maybe I should just skip work after all."
The boy chuckled.
"I'll be fine, Mom. Promise." Reaching his arms out, he took the tray from his mother, setting it down on his bedside table. "Go already before you get late."
Yawning, Jin fell back into bed, shooing his mother away before closing his eyes.
Working in an office from 9 in the morning to 5 in the evening with the frequent amount of overtimes, Mrs. Park is oftentimes too tired to even stay awake for dinner. And Jin being Jin, doesn't want to be another burden to his mother. He's eighteen. He can take care of himself.
Mrs. Park who was still standing by the bed, could only sigh before turning around to leave. She knows that her son doesn't want to bother her with taking care of him but she is his mother. She just wish he would rely on her sometimes.
Descending the stairs, she sighed once again when she saw her other son casually leaning against a wall.
"How is he?" Jimin asked, hands in his pockets.
"Jimin-ah, why are you still here?" Mrs. Park said before continuing to walk down the stairs.
"I'm not going to school today." The boy declared, straightening up to show his determination.
Another sigh from Mrs. Park. "I know you're worried about your Hyung but you can't stay. You get sick very easily as well."
"I-" Jimin started but thought otherwise. It's true. If he ever so much as breathe the same air as sick Seokjin, the bacteria could easily be passed to him.
