Blood, Sweat and Tears pt. 2

Knowing Namjoon, Jin figured that if he told him he'd be going home because his club activities had been cancelled, the younger would surely leave and go home with him.
Jin knew and that is exactly why he kept his departure from school a secret from Namjoon, opting to just leaving a piece of paper on top of the younger's bag which is still inside their room saying he already left school and that he'll just see him when he comes home.
Young Seokjin hummed a random tune as he skipped home, his backpack swinging behind him. The road he took was a shortcut and is deserted. A building is being built along it's way and after a kid got hurt by some falling debris a month before, people started avoiding the shorter route.
Residents started complaining that the ongoing construction wouldn't be safe for those living in the area and since then, the work for the building has been put on hold.
Both Seokjin and Namjoon's parents have repeatedly warned them about avoiding the dangerous path as much as possible. But being the little brats that they are, the two continued to secretly use the shortcut.
Seokjin smiled as he caught sight of the familiar unfinished building nearby, the once intact barbed wires surrounding the place to keep people away now completely worn out, covered in rust and is falling apart.
"Excuse me little lady."
Just as Jin was about to make a left, a voice stopped him from behind. He turned and saw a man wearing a black overall and a ball cap, carrying a duffel bag on one shoulder with the same raven color.
It wasn't unusual for people, mostly strangers, to mistake Seokjin as a girl. In the kid's defense, he was just too pretty for people to think that he's actually got something hanging between his legs.
He's had countless experiences going to a public place with his family and Namjoon's, getting complete strangers coo at him, telling him how pretty he is and watching said strangers gape at him in bewilderment upon realizing that he's actually a boy.
Seokjin thought it was fun. His parents, along with Namjoon's parents thought it was a little funny. But to Namjoon, it was annoying.
Whenever Jin gets approached by people he's never seen before and get tons of compliments for his looks, Namjoon would always react badly. He would glare at said people and would sulk afterwards. He'd stick to Seokjin like an annoying stain, not stepping away for even a second.
While talking to the stranger who seemed to be needing some help navigating around the small town, a nagging voice on the back of Jin's innocent mind told him to just leave the man be and go home.
His mother's sweet voice repeatedly played inside his head, telling him to never entertain strangers when there aren't any adults around to keep an eye on him.
But as Seokjin listened to the man's words and looked at the map in his own large and calloused hand, a small part of the young kid—the one who always assumed the best of others, the one who never got suspicious and the one who never thinks twice about helping others—decided to disregard all the reminders drilled into his mind by his parents.
Seokjin went with the stranger.
For the first few minutes, they aimlessly walked around as the stranger described the place he wanted to go to. Jin, determined to help, attentively listened as he seriously thought.
