Seokjin watched Namjoon silently peel him an apple, brows creased and bottom lip jutting out in concentration. He stifled a small smile.

It's been an hour since Jin woke up. His parents came in after Namjoon and cried the moment they saw him, rambling about how scared they were after hearing the news that he was taken into the hospital.

Jin felt extremely guilty for making his mother cry. He's promised himself before to never be the cause of his mother's tears ever again yet here he was, breaking said promise.

The other three kids stepped in after Seokjin's parents left and hugged him like crazy, Taehyung bawling his eyes out while Jeongguk and Jimin just offered him timid smiles. The obvious traces of fighting on everyone's faces didn't escape Seokjin's eyes but he remained silent. He'll just ask Namjoon when they're the only ones inside the room.

Speaking of, they're actually the only ones inside right now. His parents had to go back to work and the other kids went to do something important. Jin almost felt bad when they said they had to go. But then he remembered how they literally just saved his ass and just let them.

"Here you go." Namjoon gently placed the plate full of the now peeled and sliced fruit on Jin's blanket-covered lap before getting comfortable on his plastic chair just beside the bed.

Seokjin looked down and suddenly started laughing. A look of confusion appeared on Namjoon's face which only spurred the elder to laugh harder.

"Okay. I'm starting to get worried. Why are you laughing so much?" Namjoon scooted closer and gently reached out to cup one of Jin's cheeks. The action made the boy look at him, laughter slowly dying and leaving only a hint of pure delight.

"What did I do?" Namjoon asked, raising a brow. Jin tightly pursed his lips when another laughter threatened to break free, face contorted in obvious effort of stopping the sound from spilling out.

He firmly shook his head. "It's nothing."

Namjoon didn't look convinced at all. "Tell me." He goaded.

Jin stared at him for a few more seconds before finally giving up, snickering as he raised a finger and pointed to the plate. "Your bunny apples look like murdered bunnies." He explained, clearly having fun.

Namjoon followed Jin's finger and would you look at that? His bunny apples do look murdered. Another batch of laughter left Seokjin's lips as he took in Namjoon's expression which is a mixture of disbelief and confusion.

He can't believe Namjoon looked surprised. He was literally the one who made them.

"Why do they look like that?"

Seokjin choked on a laugh. He gave Namjoon a puzzled yet mirthful look. "Are you seriously asking me that? You made them!"

"I swear they didn't look that bad earlier. What happened?"

"Why are you asking me? They were already like that when you gave them to me!" Seokjin laughed harder, bending over as he clutched his stomach which is now starting to hurt from laughing to much.

Namjoon pouted, a bit disappointed at his handiwork and reached out to take the plate. Maybe he should just throw them away.

"What are you doing?" Seokjin questioned, straightening up and stopping the younger's hand from getting the plate out of his lap.

Namjoon looked dejected. "I'm throwing them away. They don't look edible anymore." He answered, reaching out again.

Jin suddenly picked a piece of what was supposed to be bunny-shaped apple slices and without another word, popped it inside his mouth, joyfully chewing.
