"The amusement park?" Jin gave Namjoon a dull stare. "Really?"
The younger could only sheepishly smile in response as he scratched the back of his neck.
Now in Namjoon's defense, when he asked the internet about famous dating spots, the amusement park came on top of the results. And it's not like he had other places in mind anyway. He's never been on a date before. Ever.
Not that he's saying that he and Seokjin are out on a date right now. Because that's certainly not true. But hey, a guy can dream right?
"I thought you'd like it. It looks fun and I've heard students at school talk about visiting this place a lot." Namjoon tried to explain.
Seokjin only gave him a disapproving look before settling his gaze back to the busy and congested park.
His head is already starting to hurt just from watching all those huge rides twist and turn in the distance. Namjoon's pretty aware about his fear of heights so why the fuck did he even bring him here when both he and Namjoon know well for a fact that he'll never survive any of those life-threatening park attractions?
Tsk. He can be so stupid sometimes.
"We can just go home if you want?" Namjoon softy offered from beside Jin, already sensing the elder's growing foul mood.
Seokjin thought for a second.
Yes, they could just go home. But that would mean all those time he spent getting out of bed and making himself look presentable would be wasted.
He had been looking forward to today's event ever since Namjoon asked him to go somewhere for the weekend last Thursday. He pictured a lot of different places in mind. And the amusement park was not one of them.
"No." Jin suddenly declared after a few minutes of silence, much to Namjoon's surprise.
"No?" The younger echoed. "You wanna stay?"
Jin gingerly nodded. "It's too late to turn back now. I'm pretty sure we can find some other less deadly activities to keep us occupied while we're here. This place looks huge anyway."
"That's the spirit!" Namjoon beamed at the elder's words, reaching for something in his pocket.
Jin raised a brow at the paper in Namjoon's hands. "Is that a map?"
Namjoon eagerly nodded.
"Why do you have that?"
"Well, this place is huge. And I didn't want us wasting time trying to navigate throughout the place." The younger enthusiastically explained, sounding almost proud of himself.
His response had Seokjin grinning, amused.
What an idiot.
"So where to then, Mr. Navigator, sir?"
Namjoon just smiled before taking Jin's hand into his, excitedly pulling him towards the side of the park where games are located instead of rides.
They tried a shooting game which Namjoon majestically sucked at. He couldn't hit even a single duck and he tried for about 30 times. A small crowd had started to gather around them, watching Namjoon flunk every shot with grins on their faces.
When Seokjin couldn't take it anymore, he took the toy gun from Namjoon and took his place in front of the stand, wordlessly taking out all the ducks.
After he was done, he turned to Namjoon with a smug look, the younger only giving him a scowl as response.
They got a life-size Hello Kitty as a prize and since Namjoon had failed to win the game multiple times, he was immediately tasked with carrying the big and fluffy thing around as they continued exploring the park.
