Fuli was walking around the Pridelands without a care in the world, she was enjoying herself and her day. The blue sky shimmered in the cheetah's emerald green eyes. Little did Fuli know, Zira, who was angered by Kion defeating her, sent Tamaa, a lioness of her pride, to kill Fuli. Tamaa's deadly green eyes watched the young cheetah between the dead grass covering her ash-colored pelt.

Kion spotted Fuli, he had to talk to her about patrol and what he should change with something about it. His paws gently hit the dirt, sending it flying into the air behind him. The lioness took small steps forward, claws unsheathed and ready to kill, her teeth were bared and she started to move faster. Paw by paw, her paw smashed against a twig, making a loud snap. Kion saw the greyish-brown blur charging at Fuli.

The cheetah turned around after hearing a roar of anger and pride, she saw a large lioness with a large smile across her face, leaping at her. Her black claws were coming for Fuli's throat. Kion yelled, "Zira! Back off!"

Tamaa's ears pricked at her leaders' name. "Zira?" her voice was raspy but clear enough for Fuli and Kion to hear. Gravity wasn't on Fuli's side as Tamaa landed right on her and the green-eyed lioness brought up her paw to slash Fuli's throat. Before the claws reached the fragile cheetah under her's throat, a flash of orange and red slammed into Tamaa.

"You can't do wrong any more, Zira!" he cried. But when Kion looked down, it wasn't Zira under him, Zira didn't have 3 slashes across her eye, and Zira for sure didn't have green eyes. A sly smile was plastered on the unknown lionesses' face. "Who are you, and why are you in the Pridelands?" Kion growled as the clouds behind him grew. Kion was already off of her and Fuli lay shaking behind him.

"I am Tamaa, sent by Zira to kill your girlfriend. Now back off, cub." her voice had venom all over it. Kion just stood his ground, claws dug into the dry dirt.

"I gave you a warning. Now..." the clouds turned into lions behind the cub, and a loud, glorious roar blew up into the air, "Go!" he roared louder than any lion has ever done. Fuli shuddered. Tamaa flew through the crisp air with a roar of anger and guilt of failing what she was supposed to do. Kion darted his eyes to the cowering cheetah behind him and his eyes softened.

He nuzzled her cheek and she nuzzled back, "Are you alright? I hope you aren't hurt." The lions' voice was soft and gentle now, trying to calm down Fuli.

"Yeah... I am. Thank you so much Kion." She quickly licked his cheek and ran off. A smile ghosted Kions lips as he pressed his paw gently against his cheek.

"Good to know I'm her savior."
