"Mom, we need to talk," Mithila says, her hand holding onto Amyra's. Her mother eyes look up from the laptop and glance at their faces, before drifting down to their connected hands. "I want you to meet someone."

"Is this your friend, Mithila?" Her mother dares, her eyes dark and confused.

"Mom, meet my girlfriend, Amyra." Mithila introduced, and Amyra squeezed her hands two times, as a sign of support. Her mother's jaw drops, before a small smile takes over her features.

"I support you, Mithila. I'm glad you've found someone. Amyra, you should come over for dinner sometime."

"Well, that was easy." Mithila mutters, before saying, "We'll be in my room, and we're going out for a date soon. Is that okay?"

"Just perfect."

Amyra's eyes turned into presents before she smiled at Mithila's mother.

"Thank you so much."

-

"Throw the bouquet, Yes queen!" Amyra had shouted, before she chuckled at her best-friend, who was on the stage, getting ready to throw the bouquet. She watched as everyone cleared spaces around Mithila, and giggled when everyone except Mithila disappeared.

Her best friend threw the bouquet and Mithila catches it gracefully, before she looked around to find Amyra. Their eyes connected, and Mithila walked towards her, placed her glass of champagne on the table, and pulled her towards the table. She hands Amyra the bouquet, and got down on one knee, and Amyra gasped, but deadpanned when Mithila began tying her shoelaces; "Hold on a second, babe." she had said, before she sneakily pulled out the ring from her pocket.

Everyone laughed when she tied her shoelaces, and Amyra waited for Mithila to get up, but instead, Mithila put forward the ring, making everyone, excluding the bride, gasp.

"We've been through a lot, haven't we? I know I'm not the best girlfriend ever, and I get really tough to handle sometimes too-"

Amyra nodded at that, making the crowd laugh,  before letting Mithila continue;

"-but my love for you is more than you can Imagine. My arm is starting to hurt from holding it up for too long, and I need to ask this before it falls off; Will you marry me, Amyra?"

Amyra nodded, her cheeks painted with with streaks of tears, before Mithila grinned and slid the ring on Amyra's finger, got up, and kissed her, before resting her forehead, drowning out the sound of cheers, and smiling through the tears;

"I love you."

"I love you, too."

-

Mithila watched Amyra as she walked down the aisle, her heels clicking on the marble floor. Mithila fixed her own dress and thanked Amyra's father in a whisper when he placed her hand in Mithila's. "You look gorgeous." Mithila breathes out, and Amyra laughs, before pecking her lips. "It isn't time to kiss yet-" The priest begins, but stops when he gets "shh'ed" by the duo. They giggle, before looking at the priest expectantly. He fixes his round glasses, and ticks his neck and clears his throat, before beginning.

"Do you, Mithila, take Amyra, as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

Mithila giggled, before nodding her head frantically, "I do."

The priest cracks a small smile, before turning to Amyra;

"Do you, Amyra,  take Mithila, as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

Amyra's eyes twinkled lightly before a grin takes over her red painted lips, and she nods as fast as she can, "Hell yes, I do." everyone laughs loudly at that, and so does the priest, before shaking his head.

"Please join hands."

Mithila had Amyra's hands in hers, running her thumb over hers in a soothing way.

 "May the Lord in His goodness strengthen your consent and fill you both with His blessings. What God has joined together, let no man put asunder. I now pronounce you as wives. You may now kiss the bride."

 He put special emphasis on 'now' and smiled widely when Amyra leaned in lightly and kissed Mithila, happy that she finally got what she wanted all along; Mithila.

It's done. It's over. There won't be a sequel, to this story, because honestly, it's good as a stand alone.
