Amyra.

I was curled up on the couch, reading another of my books I had ordered when the doorbell rang. standing up and stretching my hands, dusting off my Sponge-bob onesie, I lazily walked to the door and opened it slowly, poking my head from the small crack to see who it was. Mithila. I grinned widely when I saw what she held in her hand; coffee. I let her in and immediately grabbed the coffee from her hands, warming myself up instantly when I took a sip.

Mithila crossed her arms in front of her chest, clearing her throat, and raising her eyebrows; "No kiss for me?" She asks, pouting lightly. I place the coffee hastily on the table and run over to her tall form, standing on my tippy toes and pecking her lips.

"Hi, I love you," I state, before grabbing the doughnuts she kept on the key-table.

She pulled me back and kissed my forehead, before letting go and plopping herself down on the couch, and taking a sip out of my coffee. I growled and leapt on the couch, reaching for my coffee, making her flinch and spill the contents of the cup on herself. I laughed lightly when I saw the stain, and she looked surprised for a second before she laughed loudly and said,

"Deja vu, much?"

-

We were both curled up on the couch, now regretting every decision we had ever made that led us to this moment; watching a horror movie. Feeling extremely courageous, Mithila and I agreed to watch The Third Eye. I pull the covers farther up, covering myself fully, watching from the little pocket I made out of two folds of a blanket. Mithila clutched my arm tightly and jumped when the lights went out in the movie. She whimpered a little at the jump scares, and I screamed loud enough to wake up the entire neighbourhood.

We both had enough when the robber randomly chopped off the leg of the ghost in the flashback and resisted the urge to gag, and shut off the TV, breathing loudly.

"Never again," I say.

"Never again." she nodded in agreement. She got up, and began walking to the kitchen, before I grabbed her arm, "Don't leave me here alone, I'm scared." I meekly say, a red blush covering my cheeks. Mithila bit her lip to prevent herself from giggling before she nodded, and pulled me up and walked to the kitchen, me hot on her heels. She opened one cupboard and took out two cup-ramen noodles, and boiled some water, poured it in, and handed it to me.

I nodded in thanks and picked up chopsticks for myself and her, and sat down on the table, across from her. She looked at me, then behind me, before her eyes widened and she leaned in, before whispering; "There's someone behind you." I turned around to be met with nothing, and when I looked back, Mithila was gonna, her cup of noodles left behind. I swallow nervously, before getting up on shaky legs, and walking out of the kitchen, when the lights went out.

I looked around myself in alarm, before I turned around to see someone run across the kitchen, wearing white. Holy-

I walked towards the kitchen and screamed loudly, and began to sob and wail violently when someone jumped out from behind the wall, wearing the 'Scream' mask. The lights went back on, and my brother began cackling like the old witch he is, before Mithila joined him, and crouched down to hug my shaking form;

"I'm so sorry, he made me do it forcefully, I didn't nothing at all, I promise." She shakily whispered in my ear, before kissing my forehead.

"I love you." I say, chuckling lightly, before pecking her lips for the second time tonight.

"I love you, too."
