~~~Harry's Flashbacks🦌(3rd POVS)~~
A man with dark circles under his green eyes and a scar on his forehead hidden by a mop of unruley dark hair sat on a white plastic chair. He was rubbing his hands nervously and every now and then getting up to pace the nearly empty hall. He had been there for twelve hours. A nurse came rushing around the corner to go into the room. He stopped her for a moment.
"Excuse me, is it normal for it to take this long?" He nervously asked.
The nurse nodded.
"Yes, she's a stubborn one though."
Was all the nurse said before rushing into the room that already had three nurses.
The man sighed aggravation battling his impatience and nerves. He continued to pase the halls. He didn't know how to be a father, he had no father to teach him. What if he was terrible at it?
A few minutes later a different nurse popped her head around the corner.
"Mr Potter? We are ready for you now, did you want to see her?" She asked.
Harry nervously nodded and half ran half walked into the labour room.
His wife, Ginny was laying in the bed. She looked exhausted, she was covered in sweat, her red hair plastered to her head. In her arms was a tiny baby, cleaned, wrapped in a blanket and screaming at the top of it's lungs. Harry was lost for words. He carefully approached his wife's side. There was another plastic chair next to the bed. Harry never wanted to see one of those things again, but this time he made an exception. Awestruck, he sat in the chair.
"Did you want to hold her?" Ginny asked, softly.
"W-what if I drop her?" Harry whispered.
"You won't, trust me."
Harry nodded and Ginny carefully handed the still bawling baby girl to her husband.
Harry awkwardly accepted the baby into his arms and gently rocked it back and forth, whispering to it.
"Hay baby girl, what's the matter? You don't like it here? Everything's big and scary and new isn't it? Well you don't ever have to cry. I'm your dad and I'll make sure nothing ever hurts you. I'm going to make sure you never have a reason to cry. I'll protect you until I'm old and grey. I love you, my little Lily and I'm always going to look after you."
Baby Lily stopped crying.
As Harry held his little girl he realised why he was put on his earth, why he had gone through the tragedies of his life and why he had see what he had seen. His whole life had be leading up to this moment, the moment he held his little girl for the first time. This was his purpose for living and he was going to protect it with every fibre of his being.
Little Miss Lillian Potter had turned out to be quite a handful. She had kept her mother and father up for many nights and was loud. And when I say loud, I mean she was Loud. But she never cried, Harry got worried about it sometimes but the doctors said they couldn't find anything wrong, she was just different. But they didn't know just how different. Lilly had her mothers long, bright red
hair and her fathers blazing forest green eyes. It was uncanny how much she looked like Harry's mother. Lily loved to explore and was always in places she shouldn't be. One night, after a busy day of exploring the backyard, Lily was in her cot. She wasn't sleeping but she wasn't making any noise. Her parents were in the next room, trying to make the most of the little peace and quiet they had. Suddenly, Ginny woke, she had a strange feeling that something was wrong, call it a mothers intuition. She shook her husband awake and told him to go and check on Lily. Harry groaned and half asleep, he stumbled into Lilys room. Ginny lay on the bed awake. She heard her husband's voice call her once, he sounded shocked and uncertain. Fearing her suspicions might be true, she threw on her dressing gown and quickly strode into her daughter's room. When she got there she saw Harry staring into the cot, mixed emotions on his face, but fear was the strongest. She walked up to him, cautiously peering into crib. She screamed when she saw it. Instead of a little baby lying in the crib there was a tiger cub in Lilys sleeping cloths, it was wearing Lilys bonnet and was very happily sucking on Lilys bottle. Needless to say, Harry and Ginny were in shock. Harry was usually good dealing with the unexpected because of his training but he just froze. It was Ginny who took charge.
"Harry, do the armour spell and pick it up."
Harry did what Ginny said, he put the armour spell on his hand, in case the cub decided to bite or scratch, and when he was ready Ginny took hold of his hand and apprated them to St Mungos. The tiger cub was dressed like a baby so no one could tell it wasn't unless they came close and really looked. They tapped on the glass and Ginny spoke to the mannequin.
"Ginevra Molly Potter with Harry James Potter, this might sound strange but our daughter just turned into a tiger." She said, calmly considering the strange events of that night.
The mannequin tilted it's head and knotted it's eyebrows together. If it had spoken it would have probably said 'Wait, what?' It stood aside and Ginny and Harry walled through. Eventually they found they a doctor who worked in unexplained transformations. Surprising the tiger cub hadn't even tried to harm Harry, it just lay in him arm, looking around at everything wide-eyed. The doctor told them to take a seat in his office. From there they were asked some questions. Harry answered most of them.
"Was your daughter studying the art of tranfiguration?"
"Are you joking? She's a baby!"
"I have to asked these questions, legally, so cooperation would be helpful. Next question, where were you when this happened?"
"Trying to sleep, after many sleepless nights, my wife was with me."
Ginny nodded in agreement.
The doctor looked confused.
"I checked the records and there is no record of animagus blood, but just in case. Are you, or anyone else in your family, an illegal animagus?"
Ginny shook her head but Harry opened his mouth to reply.
"Yes, my father was."
The doctor nodded.
"Is there any mixing of human and monster blood in either of your families?"
Ginny blushed. Harry looked sideways at his wife. She nodded and then he spoke.
"My wife's family has some *insert name*
Blood, but that's many many generations back. I don't see how this could effect our daughter."
In the chapter called 'explanation' there is a paragraph on why this is right.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Well Sir, with magically modified people and other people with monster blood we are really not sure what will happen to their children. So all I can say is that you monitor her closely. I'll give you my personal number and don't hesitate to call."
