night shift || chanhun

Hotshot

Sehun loves his job as a bar tender, but it does have its moments. For example... he gets a lot of odd characters and a lot of rude ones too. Today he has the night shift which means he has to lock up, he hates being alone at night at a rundown bar. Even if he might be tall and look intimidating, he is a softie on the inside.  

Sehun leaves his house around 8pm to make his shift, already tired. Once he got there it wasn't very crowded due to it being a Tuesday afternoon. He went around asking if anyone needed anything and washing dishes here and there waiting for the night to end. Sehun jerks his head towards the entrance when he heard two very loud boys. Sighing, not wanting to deal with them, Sehun walks over.
"Welcome, what can I get started for you two?" Sehun grins.
"Two beers please." Baekhyun spats.
"I'll have water actually..." Chanyeol whispers so only Sehun hears.
bringing out the drinks Baekhyun was yelling about how this guy dumped him over some girl blah blah blah. Sehun giggles wishing he had friends like that.
"Hey what's funny big guy?" Baekhyun yells.
"Nothing nothing I swear." Sehun said.
"That's what I thought!" Baekhyun pouts.
"Hey... maybe be a bit nicer to the guy who could spit in your drink." Sehun says proudly.
Baekhyun sticking out his tongue.
After an hour the two still haven't moved once, Sehun decided to check up on them.
"How is everything?"
"Awfu- GREAT!" Baekhyun was cut off by Chanyeol.
"Everything's great thank you." Chanyeol finished.
"Okay.... just letting you know we close in an hour."
"Ok! let's bounce Yeol." Baekhyun says gathering his things, Chanyeol following. with a ding of the door they were gone. Sehun kicking himself for not getting the tall boys number.

The next day Sehun had the night shift again. Chanyeol came alone this time.
"What can I get you tonight?" Sehun smirks.
"Beer." Chanyeol spats
Bringing out his beer "So where's your friend?" Sehun asks.
"Out having sex with his ex" Chanyeol sighed.
"I see." Sehun says.
"Why are you here?" Sehun followed.
"Mmm why not? I guess I'm just upset that my friends all get dates and I've never had a first kiss that I enjoyed." Chanyeol glugs the beer down.
"You've never enjoyed a kiss? how interesting. I'm surprised a guy as attractive as you doesn't get thousands of women crawling at your toes and you get to pick who gets to make out with you." Sehun said.
"yeah I kind of do...." Chanyeol admits.
"What? they're just not the one right? That's the kind of guy you are?" Sehun shrugs against the bar.
Chanyeol awkwardly laughs.
"No actually... it's just that I'm more into guys then chicks." Chanyeol laughs.
"Oh really? And you can't get one to like you?" Sehun asked.
"Bingo." Chanyeol says keeping the 'o' shape on his lips for dramatic effect.
"Strange... because I would kiss you right now and make you remember it if you'd let me." Sehun says with no doubt.
"What? No, I...." chanyeol said shocked.
"What's the matter?" Sehun crosses his arms.
"Oh my god." Chanyeol laughs out.
"Think about it hotshot, here's my number." Sehun said handing out a sticky note with his number on it. Chanyeol begrudgingly shoving it into his pocket.
"It was lovely seeing you but I must go, my friend needs me." Chanyeol says sarcastically gathering his things making it out the door.

Later that night, Chanyeol was laying in bed having a hard time falling asleep... so he grabbed that note and decided to text the bar tender.
c: "hey... it's me. from today."
s: "oh hello! blonde?"
c: "thats the one"
s: "i was curious if you'd actually text me... looks like i was worried for nothing!"
c: "guess so, what's your name?"
s: "sehun"
c: "i'm chanyeol"
s: "cute name."
c: "thanks?"
s: "anytime, hey i wonder why people say tall dark and handsome when i only see tall pale and adorable.."
c: "are you.."
c: "flirting with me?"
s: "that's up to you to decide hun."
c: "then yes. you are."
s: "good"

That's all they shared that night before Chanyeol was fast asleep.
