What Happened?

The next morning Chanyeol woke up sitting at his kitchen's bar. He had a few missed calls from Baekhyun but didn't bother with calling his friend back, he would probably only ask about how his date went. Chanyeol sighs while looking at the empty beer cans that surrounded him. Slowly gaining the energy he begins to clean up his kitchen. His phone rings, thinking it was Baekhyun. The caller ID made Chanyeol's heart drop. "Sehun". He lets the phone ring, he did not have the strength to talk to Sehun just yet. After a couple rings the call goes to voicemail, Sehun left a voicemail but Chanyeol ignored it. After Chanyeol had his kitchen cleaner than it was before he got home last night he hears a knock at his door. Looking out the peephole, Baekhyun stood before the door eagerly waiting to hear about his friends date. Chanyeol sighs letting his friend in. 

"CHANYEOL WTH?" Baekhyun was upset that he never got a call back and it was already late in the afternoon. 

"what?" Chanyeol tries to act dumb. 

"WHAT? Really??? you had your first real date last night and never called me back after I called you multiple times last night??? That ring a fucking bell??" Baekhyun seemed upset but in a joking tone. 

" I don't really wanna talk about it if I'm being honest." Chanyeol says avoiding eye contact. 

"Why not? What happened? Please tell me." Baekhyun says with a playful pout. 

"It's not important. I don't think him and I are meant to work out. I wanna drop this." Chanyeol says beginning to get aggravated. 

"Did something bad happen Chan? You know you can talk to me about anything." Baekhyun moves closer to his friend and places the palm of his hand on his back. Chanyeol feels Baekhyun's warm hand and falls into his sadness letting tears out. Baekhyun sees this and brings Chanyeol into a hug. "What happened hun, please tell me so I can help you." Baekhyun whispers to Chanyeol. 

Chanyeol takes a big breath in and tries to build up the courage to speak but it took him a few moments. "The date went fine... We ended up at his place and we played with his dog... then things got more intimate... and I was nervous and he wasn't so I let him take the lead... one thing lead to another we had sex..." Chanyeol took a long pause. 

"Did he force you into it? Is That what this is?" Baekhyun asks, Chanyeol shakes his head no. 

"After we were all cleaned up he told me I could stay the night and I agreed to stay... while in his bed though he was on his phone and I was tired so I rolled over but then something in me asked him what this meant for us and what the next step was.... and he just... he said I was great but he wasn't trying to be serious with anyone right now and... and then I left his house and walked home kinda..." Chanyeol explains. 

"I see... I'm so sorry Chan... he has no right to treat you like that. I know how happy you were to finally meet someone.. has he tried to contact you at all?" Baekhyun asks. 

"Yeah, he called me right before you got over here. I didn't pick up though. He left a voicemail and I haven't listened to it." Chanyeol sighs. 

"Can we take a listen? I wanna know how he's handling this." Baekhyun asks, Chanyeol goes to grab his phone and the two sit at his kitchen bar. Chanyeol hits play on the recording. 

"Hey, It's Sehun. I'm sorry about last night I wasn't thinking straight. I hope you made it home safe... I understand if you never want to talk to me again. If you're up for it I would like to make this up to you. You're special... nobody has made me feel like this. Please let me make it up to you. Get back to me soon even if it's a no. I just would like to know you made it home." Chanyeol was starring into space trying to process Sehun's message while Baekhyun was filled with annoyance. 

"Who does he think he is? He played you and then to not seem like a dick he leaves a heartfelt message? I am NOT buying this. You do not deserve to be treated like this. I might go down to his bar and have a word with him. I will not let someone treat you like this." baekhyun was getting ready to storm out of Chanyeol's house before Chanyeol spoke up. 

"Baek! NO! This is my battle to deal with. I appreciate the concern but this is something I have to handle." Chanyeol explains. 

"What are you gonna do then?" Baekhyun sits back down. 

"I don't know yet. I might hear him out." Chanyeol pounders. 

"If you think that's what you should do I'll support you. Are you going to call him back?" Baekhyun asks.

"Should I? Right now?" Chanyeol asks.

"If you want to yeah." Baekhyun follows, Chanyeol looks at his phone and presses on Sehun's name and the phone rings.
