A Black Basket 13- Want to make a contract?

Tohru held up the newspaper article.

"It says that you died? At first I thought maybe it was one of your ancestors that just looks like you and has the same name as you..and age. Then, I saw that it said his butler Sebastian had gone missing and I don't know what to think. This is an old newspaper article you guys can't be alive right now. It's impossible. Please can you explain this to me I'm confused."

Ciel looked up from his desk at Sebastian.

Sebastian grinned lightly.

"I can't tell you...unless we make a contract."

Ciel stood up from his desk angrily.

"What are you planning demon?"

Demon slipped out of his mouth and Sebastian laughed lightly.

"We can't go back now master."

"We're somehow still in a contract ..can you have more than one?" Ciel asked Sebastian.

"Well not unless you want it. You don't have an official contract with a human."

"...Me?" Ciel had never thought he'd have a contract with a human. He didn't necessarily want one.

"A contract?" Tohru spoke nervously. She leaned against the door and had her hand on the knob.

"Yes.." Sebastian said as the room went dark.

Sebastian slipped off his glove as the contract mark between him and Ciel lit up the room.

"The mark.." Tohru said in shock. "I saw that when you helped me with the teapot.."

"You let her see it?!" Ciel yelled at his demon butler.

"Not on purpose. My gloves got dirty." Sebastian responded as he lifted Ciel up onto his desk untying his eyepatch.

The eyepatch fell to the ground and Ciel's cursed eye from the contract glowed.

"This is our contract." Sebastian said to Tohru.

Tohru was still confused.

"Sebastian is a demon. When I was younger I summoned him and made a contract. When the contracts up he gets my soul--"

Sebastian cut Ciel off.

"But he is no longer human and is a demon himself now. So he has no soul anymore. So I am tied onto this leash probably forever."

Ciel glared at Sebastian.

"My apologizes master. I'm just being truthful."

"If you feel that way then leave."

Sebastian was surprised at Ciel's sudden remark.

"I would, but do you think the world is going to take a boy that can never age and is stuck like that forever seriously?"

Ciel stayed quiet in defeat and in hurt.

Tohru laughed nervously.

"I am having trouble taking this all into my brain. So what you are telling me is that you both are demons. Ciel wasn't one always, but is now one and has a contract with a demon. Is that why you wanted me to stay away?"

Ciel nodded embarrassedly.

Sebastian grinned.

"My master only wanted you to stay away from me when he is also a demon and has never had a soul."
