CLARY POV
    "Save this," I tell Naitee as I give her the piece of paper. "I love you, ok, I do..."
     "Mommy...why do I have to go? Do you not want me anymore?" She asks. My heart breaks as I look up at Kathleen. She's usually a nice person. But I know that when it comes to dificult situations that need to be solved quickly, she's an ice cold person...
       "No....I do...I do want you....I love you so much...and when you're old enough to read, read this...ok? Just know that I do love you and that if it were up to me I would never let you go," it's incredible how a few minutes ago she was my daughter, my everything...and now they're taking her away. I would fight for her, try to gain custody....but I know that it would be too much for Naitee....I just think it'll be better if she can finally stay in one place to call home. Even if that place is not with me. Kathleen grabbed her hand and started leading her away.
     "Clary, It's for the best, she'll be with a very nice couple, and-," I cut her off.
      "Is that why you're taking her away without a thought?" I ask Kathleen as it finally hits me. She stays silent. "That's why you're taking her away! They just got here! And they gave you the proof that they have custody over her, they told you they had to leave so you're just going to give her up to them....not even protecting me fully....legally....because they are a couple?! That's why you're taking her away from me?! Because I'm alone?!" I ask in anger.
"I'm sorry Clary...i didn't choose this, a judge did." Kathleen says as she walks out of my house. I stare at the door trying to process the events that just occurred.

JACE POV
    I walk into my childhood house and see Izzy with everyone in the living room. By everyone else, I mean everyone. Izzy had made me fly from DC to New York because she had something to tell me. I don't know why she couldn't have just sent me s text. "Finally! I've been waiting for you forever!" Izzy says in annoyance. "Anyways, since we're all here, well.....almost all of us," Izzy mumbles as she looks at Jocelyn. After I left Clary Jocelyn cut off everyone from Clary. "But anyways........Simon Proposed yo me! and We're getting married in one month!" Izzy says excitedly. Everyone excitedly goes up to congratulate Izzy. I sigh as I lean into the wall. I am happy for her, I really am....i just......My little sister is already pregnant with a child, Magnus and Alec are engaged and planning this big wedding next year. Max even has a girlfriend! I'm the only one that seems to be alone, Sure, I have missy. But I have no idea what the hell is going on with her.. Justin is also alone...he broke up with Daphne. Jocelyn walks up to me and leans next to me.
"You know Jace......Maybe of you didn't screw around so much, you would be already married." Jocelyn says. I glare at her.
"I'm happily in a relationship....now, if your daughter is having issues keeping someone satisfied, that's not my problem," I growl.
