Me, Telma, Shad, Beth and Ashei set off for Lake Hylia. The sun was setting so we decided to make a camp. I sat by Telma. "The stars are beautiful tonight. I wonder what the goddesses are thinking right now?" It was an interesting question. "Maybe a few things. They worry for Hyrule. They may be trying to weave each of our destinies together. All together, we all want the same outcome. They are giving us the power to make it happen, the wisdom to overcome the challenges we face and the courage to face against what we fear most." Telma looked at me, she was happy. "You like him...don't you?" This made me blush. Thank goodness it was night, for it would be displayed for all to see. "What do you mean?" Telma crossed her arms. "You know exactly what I mean. You have a deep love for Shad that goes further than just friends." I was smiling now. "Yes. I never knew anyone could be so unbelievably kind and sweet until I met Shad."
She had interest all over her face. "Tell me more about the Hidden Village or what happened there Callum? I think it will be important for us to know." My face became serious. "It was a regular day in the Hidden Village. I was studying as usual. Everything was normal. That is, until I heard my parents arguing. As the nosy person I was, I knew I had to listen. My mother told my father that if he didn't do something, every soldier would lose their lives. All units were deployed somewhere to the west. I was never told. My father began talking about how the royal family always make us hide. All he wanted was for me to see the world." Telma was confused. "Did he know you are the Sage of Shadow?" I took a deep breath. "No. Or at least I don't think so. I had kept it to myself because that would be the most responsible thing to do. My father is a rather impulsive man. He'll do things without even thinking of the consequences. That was ultimately what had gotten him into trouble." Telma was listening. It was like she was imaging the events in her head.
"Then, they came. It was out of nowhere, my mother ran upstairs and gave me a letter. It had your name on it. She told me to run for my life and find you. I was confused, I was worried and perhaps even...scared. I thought to myself, the Hidden Village was obviously a secret. The only two people who know of our existence was the legendary hero and Princess Zelda herself. It was then that my mind thought that someone sold us out, someone betrayed us. At Kakariko Village, while I was speaking with the Sage of Fire, I realised who it was." My mouth closed itself even at the thought of HIS name. "Who was it?" Telma asked. "His name...was Archer. I never spoke to him that much but that doesn't mean I didn't notice anything suspicious. Everytime he opened his own door, he'd look behind him as if making sure the coast was clear. I honestly didn't know what he was up to but I knew I had to keep an eye on him. He was a creepy figure. He would do normal things everyday. It was only when he invited my family over for dinner is when I truly tried to understand what he was and who he was associated with. He allowed us to explore his house. My mother and father were given the tour. I asked to go to the bathroom. It was there, in his bedroom, I saw a diary."
Telma was still deeply interested. "I know it's rude to eavesdrop but I couldn't help but be fascinated. I was compelled to read it. I made sure nobody was there. Then I started reading. It was in the eighth entry that I started to uncover something spooky. He said in his diary the word 'Twilight.' Everyone in Hyrule knows of the Twilight Invasion. It went across my mind that maybe he was a historian or a scholar. But, I kept on reading. He was talking about a rebellion so big it would make the royal family feel threatened. It was then I found a name. Zant. I ran out of the house. My parents had saw me through the top window. Archer was most obviously caught off guard so he must have contacted someone to kill me. He nearly succeeded. Archer was the man Auru and Ashei saved me from." I ended there. Telma looked like she saw a ghost. "Wow. We face a grave threat that wishes to divide Hyrule, again. A second Twilight Invasion. Now that I know, we'll keep it between us until we can find Link and the rest of the sages. Now, I recommend you confess your love to him. If you don't do it now, it may never happen." I smiled. "Thank you, Telma."
I walked up to see Shad looking at the silver moon in the night sky. "Hello Shad." He turned around. "Hello Callum. You're up late." I laughed at that. "I never do get much sleep. Either way, there is something I want to tell you." He smiled. "There is something I want to tell you." We faced each other and we both slowly leaned in. Our lips made contact. The moon shone in the night sky, it was magnificent. It's light fell down upon this moment. Our moment.
