Marriage

I wrote a little text this morning
It all began with a simple bet
"Your father told me you're a poet
You should write something for the wedding"

And so does it go : congratulations !
You two are ready for this whole new trip
Those rings are the hull of your couple's ship
The world is now yours, miss no occasions.

Daughter of Egypt, son of Austria
You prove once more that love has no borders
Love transformes people into explorers
She made you move from here to Australia

Since the first glance, the first sight, the first smile,
They knew that it would lead them to this day
From the stadium to the beach of Sydney
Each soul found the part that was in exile

From that first smile to this new journey
(The boat is ready, the sails are set)
It all began with a simple bet
Just a few words : "will you marry me ?"
