Medley's POV

I can feel my heart beating faster as we hold hands and walk towards the gala. This feels like a dream...

Everything is starting to change now..but I still have some fears. I'm not confident at all. Since the incident that took place when I was 10.......

Why am I thinking about it now?

Forget it Med!!

My thoughts drifted away as we neared the gala where we could hear music and laughter.

The whole place is lighted up with stalls lined up and people gathering around...
It's beautiful. It's not everyday that you get to see a sight like this.

"Let's check out some stalls." Ken blurted out while pulling me towards one of the stalls.

"Awwww....you guys look so cute together!" The sales lady beamed as we stopped in front of her stall.

I can't help but blush.. "No m'am, w-we're not a couple."

Ken too seemed to be uneasy.

"Aww.. Too bad. But I hope you'll be one day!" Then she winked at us. She looks like she's in her mid 40s and looks really friendly.
"I'm Marie! Do try out these sausages! They're delicious!" She offers some to us.

As we were going to, we hear a familiar voice.
It can't be!

"Well well well, lovebirds eh?"

"Do we know you?" Ken goes forward facing Robert who's standing with a smirk plastered on his sinfully handsome face. And of course, with a clingy Tina holding his right arm.

Goodness.. What now?

"Robert! What are you doing here?" Ken faces me with confusion evident on his face.

"We're here on a date. Right babe?" Tina blurts out as she pushes herself more to Robert, if it's possible because she's already too close.

"Yes baby." He just smirks.
What's with this guy??

"Seems like you know each other, as we're also on a date, we'll head our own ways." And the next thing that happens, sets my heart galloping like a horse!
Ken sneaks his arm to my waist and leads me to the opposite direction where we don't have to face them anymore.

We are now seated on a bench with skewers of meat and veggies sizzled with homemade spices.
It's delicious!

He seems busy in his own thoughts. I take this time to take a closer look at his features.
He's got chocolaty brown eyes, mops of straight blonde locks falling over his eyes. His whole face is sculptured perfectly.
He's just so handsome!

"Med! Are you okay?" His brown eyes are trying to study my face.

"Y-Yeah... Sorry. Just spaced out."
I'm embarrassed. I hope he didn't catch me staring at him like a retard.

We decide to check out the game stalls! Hey, we may not look like kids, but it's fun to play!

There's this cliche game where we use guns to shoot the gifts we want.
I love shooting! My dad taught me when I was five. It's really nostalgic remembering the first time I held the gun. It was frightening yet exciting.

Funny how, I'm the one gonna shoot and not Ken. He doesn't even know how to hold the gun. It was hilarious seeing him struggle. So I did the honour of shooting.
My first target is to get the big brown Teddy!
And................. viola! I did it!

"That's great feat for a girl." I hear that familiar voice again.
My face turned a shade of red.

"We meet again." Ken sounds defensive.
