Tris' POV

It's one in the morning. They aren't back yet. She's dead. Caleb killed her. My life is ruined.

I hear the front door open downstairs and look at Christina. She stayed awake with me even though i can see she's exhausted. "I'll go check" she said getting off the edge of my bed. After five minutes the bedroom door opened and instead of seeing Christina i saw Natalie. Thank God. "Natalie" i gasped. She ran to Tobias's side of the bed and climbed in. "Are you ok? Did he hurt you? Come here" i said so fast she didn't process it. Tobias wasn't with her. Where was he? "Mommy, I was so scared." she cried into my shoulder. I ran my fingers through her hair "I know. I'm so sorry sweety." i said, crying myself. "But, i thought about you and daddy. When we watched those movies, he always saved you. So i waited for him to save me. And he did!" she smiled. Then it was my turn to smile. "Daddy will always be there for us. Just like I will be there for you guys." I smile and hug her. There's a creak at the door and Tobias walks in with one twin in each arm. Handing Kayla to me he sits on his side of the bed putting Natalie between us. "Natalie, I would like you to meet Mason and Kayla" I whisper. Her blue eyes sparkle as they dart back and forth between her brother and sister. Then her smile fades and she backs up to my feet. "Does this mean I'm not daddy's princess anymore? Does it mean you guys don't love me?" she says. I place Kayla in Tobias' arm and slowly sit up. It doesn't hurt badly just enough to be annoying. "Natty, daddy and I will never stop loving you. Ok?" She nods her head and looks to Tobias. "Is Kaywa your new princess?" Tobias shakes his head. "You will always be my princess. Just like mommy will always be my queen. I'll find a different nickname for Kayla." He says smiling. After a whole Natalie nods her head and crawls herself back to me. "Can I hold one?" she asks looking at her brother. "Of course." I say. Tobias hands me Mason and I place him in Natalie's lap, with my arms under hers just in case. For a while she just stares then says "I don't get it. He doesn't do anything." Tobias and I laugh. "He won't do much for a while. But don't worry, he'll be more fun when he gets older" Tobias says slowly getting off the bed.

After putting all three kids to bed Tobias comes back in. It's two in the morning but I'm so uncomfortable I can't sleep. Maneuvering my to his chest I listen to his heartbeat. The only thing assuring me this day was real. "So. I'm you're queen huh?" i smirk. He laughs "what made you think you weren't." "I don't know. Just a thought." There was a long pause. "Who was there for you?" he asked. "When?" "when you had her." My smile fades. "Caleb" I say with a sigh. "Oh" it's all he says. Then rolls so he's facing me. "I am so proud of you. And I love you. And I love the three children you given me." He says. "Well it takes two to tango..."I laugh. "You know what I mean. Thank you." he says. Then lightly kissing my nose then my cheek, mouth, neck, ravens, then back to my lips. "I love you." i whisper. "Was she scared?" i asked. "Yes. After seeing herself hooked up to the machines and Caleb being beaten to a pulp she was pretty freaked." he says. He places his hand gently on my cheek, and i place mine on his. "You know what she said to me. She said while she was scared she thought about the videos and how you always saved me. She was waiting for you and you came. I don't think you'll ever have her off your side." i laugh. He doesn't however, he just stares. "I could have killed her. Had Caleb had body guards or had she been hooked up to something deadly i could have killed her. I can't think about what life would be without her. I mean she... just looked like you. When i thought you died. Just cold and lifeless on that metal table. I lost you once then i almost lost her. I don't think i'd be man enough to handle that." he says. I sigh. "You don't have to worry about me. I've got three kids to look out for, i can't leave them. And more importantly i can't leave you. Just like her i was fighting to stay alive just to see those beautiful blue eyes just one more time." i say placing my hand on his face. "Don't leave me." "Never" "Promise?" "Promise
